I have had a few customers who looked down on me until I let them know I have an MBA from Temple University in Marketing and Industrial Relations. All of a sudden their attitudes change and you are one of them. I majored in Chemistry in the 70's until Dow Chem was sued over Agent Orange then changed to business. Learn to talk on their level and be sure you know well the subject. -
2013 Sealer/Stain Poll - Which one(s) are you using this year?
tunatussle replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
What does multiple votes have to do with percentages? 100% is 100% or is this some kind of new math? -
2013 Sealer/Stain Poll - Which one(s) are you using this year?

How come the total % is over 100% 44 plus 40 plus 18 is 102% without the smaller amounts? -
We get vinyl names off boats with heat gun and putty knife. Residue with alcohol

Real good show this weekend in Carlisle PA for import and kit cars. plenty of LBC's and more.
-
Lot of LBC owners over the years. Seems we had something else in common.

Brian, been working on the car and still working on both boats although the 38 is for sale, too expensive to take to the canyons any more(500 gal diesel per trip) think i will stick with the Sea Ox as a pocket rocket. But the car is real relaxation.

Rick, We are still looking for a good condition 3000 but they are either out of site on price or trash. Saw one that I was almost ready to jump at In Ky until I read a little further in the description and found a Chevy 283 with Power Pac and a Powerglide trans. Too much to turn it back to original.
-
Rick, thanks for the name/site, you know how they can be at times. Belong to AH Sport and Touring now but looking at others. Had a couple 3000's in the 70's before I was shipped out and no place to store them when underway for 6 months at a time. So I sold them.
-
Rick, I might have gone but just bought tickets to the Battleship NJ with the turret firing option.

LUcas-Prince of Darkness, Bugeyes were 58-60 and originally were to be lights that would flip up but found too expensive.
-
With the top off I now remember why I had gloves in the '60s driving AH 3000's

Is there a new generation of exterior wood restoration contractors?
tunatussle replied to RPetry's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
All I can say is I hit the magic age of mortality and decided it was time to retire. Took a trip around the country, bought a sports car, investigating downsizing the boats. Have been dealing with Sandy at the shore house. Most all work is done and ready for the Spring. -

Brian, took the 38 Ocean to Jersey Cape up by the Viking Plant on Saturday. What a ride outfront of AC. Went airborn with 40,000 lb boat. Nice in air but one hell of a landing. Other boat is behind house on trailer. Still have to assess damage. Tuna in the lagoon. Moisture but hopefully no real water on first floor. -

Ok in Ocean City NJ or so I think, will let you know when I can get around without a boat. Water was high up to first floor and then some. -
