  1. The X-Jet debate

Had to go back to the x-jet last week when my chemical injector went bad. My crew has never used the x-jet we've always down streamed. They were crying the blues about carrying the jug around. Alos the M-5 don't get the height or distance that the origional x-jet (which I also had on the truck) or the down stream does. We're back in business now with down steaming and the crew is much happier. But the now know that just because one way don't work there is always options.
  2. Beth Not sure how to PM. St Leonard is in my area of Southern Maryland. Thanks Howard

I also wanted as a question. I noticed that Steve Rowletts web site has been shut down. Anyone know if he retired or quit the business? Just curious. Beth, Rod still have a great site I see. 7. Owners' Manual for the parents of teenaged daughters

I'm LMAO. I remember this so well. Had a teenage step daughter and a teenage son at the same time. They were two years apart with her being older. Hard to tell which one was worse. I think as they grew older each one tried to out do the other. But I do remember the showers, towels, clothes ect.... However she did get a job and bought most of her own smell good stuff. But, her mother uses the smell good as well so they swapped at times. But like all things it will pass. She is now 28 married no children of her own yet! My son is also married with two his own and 3 step children at 26 (there is a GOD) . I just sit back a smile everytime he starts talking about what has happened......... Being PAPAP is alot easier and loads more fun than being DAD ever was......... as the doctor said "relax this won't hurt a bit" LOL......
  8. Last evening I got a call from a customer telling me that the cleaning solution I used to clean his house is killing his plants. Now I as well as others here have had that happen before so nothing new. Well in this case I washed his home the 23rd of March 25 days ago and he is just now calling me. Since I washed his home we have had freezing temps, warm-ups to the 70's 3/4 inches of heavy snow/rain and just this past weekend a noreaster that carried 60kt winds with over 3 to 6 inches of rain. Now he calls and says the plants around the house are dieing, but everything else in other parts of the yard are alright. I will be going to take a look at the plants in question but my thoughts are I had nothing to do with his plants dieing. Now for my cleaning mix, I've posted the receipt on here before but here it is again. 1.5 gal 12% 2 gal crita clean (from Sunbrite) 1/2 cup cascade 3/4 cup liquid tide (foaming) 1 cup jomax 1 cup liquid deck cleaner. fill 5 gal container with warm water then downstream. Not sure how to do this poll I checked the box but here are my thoughts. 1. Let him know how sorry I am his plants are dieing but I'm not responsible 2. Point out the elasped time since the wash (BPW not responsible) 3. extreme weather is responsible (BPW not responsible) 4. in interest of customer satisifaction offer partial refund to buy new plants. 5. Other Thanks for giving me your thoughts on this.
  9. What would you do

Just to update. Went by and looked at the customers plants. He had new spring growth coming out. Plants that were suppose to flower were doing so. New growth on the bushes. In short the only thing I saw was on the back side of some of the evergreen bushes (that never see sun against the deck) there was some browning. Told him I say nothing wrong he seemed to agree. However, I took loads of pictures just in case he tries to come back later in the srping/summer. Thanks everyone for your inputs. Ken Not too complex, it works for me down here. have no problem killing Mold/mildew. If the house has excessive mold build-up then I add more SH.

  15. What went wrong?

So let me get this straight. "Ox isn't just for rust stains anymore"? Your using Ox in your rinse water on vinyl? Tell me more, what about windows? Not a problem etching the glass? Apply with x-jet or downstream? Thanks
  16. Man that's steep!!!! Boomlift?

My thoughts exactly! For $2000.00 I'd even thow in the other side and gutter cleaning for no charge. Good job!! Be sure and post the after pic's and some in process if you can.
  17. Man that's steep!!!! Boomlift?

I'd use a shurflo set up a phelps wand which I modified with QC fitting and then use the M5. It'll shoot the chlorine mix 20/25 ft no problem. My shurflo is 3.8gpm @ 45 psi. You'll have to use a ladder to get the higher roof, but if you set it in the middle you should be able to clean the entire roof without moving. Also with my shurflo set up there is very little runoff.
  18. It's days like today that make me long for the days when I can put the blade on Big Red and clear some parking lots.
  19. Bathroom break????

  20. Bathroom break????

  21. Need help removing old floor epoxy.

Removed epoxy from two restroom floors, and shower stalls at a camp ground earlier this year. Took two days had heat, turbo nozzle and 15deg tips. Job really su#&ed. Had pieces of epoxy everywhere. Finally broke down and bought some epoxy stripper had to put it down three times with power wash between each. Finally got it off, or at least the best it was going to come off. They liked the job, but next time I'll know better and run, not walk, run the other way. Good luck
  22. TGS shirts - interested?

Maybe, I don't even have Braden Power Wash T's yet. Let me know where ya get em and how much. I'm looking for something to give my guys to wear this year. Maybe even keep it as a Christmas present.
  23. Taking a Vacation

Carlos said "my 40th (god I am getting old) in a couple of weeks" Jeff said "hell I'm 44 and getting fat oh well, I'll be 45 Aug 11th and maybe our baby will be born on that day too" You guys, I turned 50 last week, and Jeff I not getting fat I am, and Grey as well. The wife says I'm getting bald as well. I just love that woman soooo supportive. Oh well life is good, and age is just a number. Has nothing to do with how ya feel.
  24. The only things I break out are Roofs, Driveways, patios and decks, ect.. If they ask about some patio furniture, some brick, block, concrete stepping stones I don't add them to the price, I do add sidewalks but not a few steps. I look at it this way, its not going to add any time, I'm already there and its good customer relations. just my .02 worth
