  1. Limonene

Cool - sounds like Elemonator is getting good reviews on other forums also. Currently I am totally happy with E-Plus but I am always up for something better.
  2. Limonene

Thanks Rod and Guy!!! Everything I clean has mold on it.... it seems there is always something trying to replace bleach,,, to no avail. :confusion:
  3. Limonene

Wondering if I can get some updated comments on Limonene. I use Emulsifier Plus with good results. But It would be nice to get away from the bleach if orange peels will do the same thing.
  4. In recommend 2 years also. But many people have been waiting longer. They don't think it needs it till it turns green or black. I should edit my statement about bleach. Sometimes I will use my house wash for cleaning. Just hear a lot of neg advertising on bleach and decks so sometimes I will neutralize with vinegar or oxalic.
  5. Exterior Doors?

I stripped a door on accident once. I would do a test spot. If it looks good, just put am hourly clause in for sanding if needed/desired. Your using deck stain, so it's not like fine furniture. Just be sure the doors are quality enough to handle water. And beware of the inside,,,, HMMMM,,, Did someone say PITA?
  6. Ready seal recommends cleaning with bleach. Depending on what you need to clean off. Percarb cleaners work better here in the wetlands. But, like Beth said. There really isn't any thing to strip. After 5 years it normally looks like nothing is on it. So if you are gonna use ready seal again. just give it a good cleaning. I personally don't trust bleach alone without neutralizing it also.
  7. Tired of winter and ready for spring

    Feeling that!
  8. winter blues

    Tree on porch
  9. Hey Rod, I mostly use Ready seal on decks that are exposed to the elements. The "claim to fame" with Ready Seal is it doesn't mold. Most sealers here turn black fast. I like Sikkins on covered decks as it will look like varnish as it is re-applied. I do most siding with Ready Seal because it is easy to keep up and helps protect against dry rot.

  11. Used Ready Seal and Sikkins. Sikkins if it's covered. Ready Seal if it is not.
  12. Gutter cleaning ?

If it is dry, which isn't often in the northwest these days, I will blow them out with a backpack blower. But most days we clean them by hand. Try to clean them from the roof if they are not too steep.
  13. Anyone using Flood CWF-UV5. I did a sample deck with it and it looked great for 5 years, till the homeowner's son-in-law got a hold of it. I use Ready Seal, but I was thinking about trying the CWF-UV5 again.
  14. Price seems fair, depending on the size, could be more. If it doesn't need stripping. I would recommend using the same stain that it has on it.
  15. pressure gauge

My skid unit machine has the pressure gauge mounted on the control panel. If you have a portable, I think Tony is right. AS for a ball valve, I haven't used mine since I switched my surface cleaner over to a quick connect. It now becomes another attachment and I use the same gun.
