  1. injector problem

If you are constantly going through chemical injectors, check the psi of your pump. When mine was going through several a week, I found that my pressure had be increased from 3000 to 5000. Adjusted the pump back to 3000 psi and everything started working correctly. I think one of my helper twisted the unloaded.
  2. We shut down in November, and start back in March. Work on equipment during the cold days,
  3. injector problem

Cleaner, These three pieces, I don't think go in the soap tube portion of the injector. I think they go into your pressure washing hose side of the injector. Each piece has a different size hole in it. Is the largest one for 8gpm machines?
  4. injector problem

Yes the ceramic ball and spring are in it. I believe these screw type pieces change out the 3/8 end of injector.
  5. injector problem

ckeener, I just bought a super suds sucker. It didn't come with any instructions, and three loose parts (screw with hole in middle). Do u know which part for a 8gpm?
  6. injector problem

I have been having a lot of chemical injector problems lately. I have an 8gpm/3000psi machine and don't seem to be able to keep a GP high draw injector going more that a couple of days. I rinse it out after every job. When they are only a couple of days old the ball isn't pitted. But it is usually pitted after a couple of weeks. What injectors would you consider the "BEST"? Also what size injector should I get? I am using the 2.1 and running 200' of hose. When I first got my machine, I may have used 3-4 injectors all year, lately I am doing good if one will last a week. Very frustrating!!!! Anybody have any experience with the chemical remote control unit (kinda pricey)? Thanks in advance for your replies!!!
  7. I am thinking about buying a new trailer mounted rig. I would like to have a two gun system, and hot water. I do mostly residential work, but do have a few commercial concrete contracts. I would like any suggestions on buying a new trailer rig. I live in Northeastern NC. Thanks in Advance for your replies! RJ
  8. Thanks for all the replies. Guy, I just noticed that you are in NC. When I get some time, I will call you. I am possibly going to be in Salemburg in July, and if I do, I would love to see your rig. Right now I am running a two portable machines (5.5/100 gal buffer and a 4gpm), on my 10X6 trailer. I have a portable hotbox, but can't carry the 4gpm machine when I bring the hotbox.
  9. I was wondering if any of you have any recommendations for cleaning painted hardiplank. I did a search and found three threads, but not much information, on the best way to clean it, or should I stay away from it. I am thinking that I should go easy on the bleach when dealing with the stuff.
  10. I have landed a job cleaning and restaining a deck that was treated with the colored Olympic Max (5-7) stain. My question is should I even attempt to strip this deck, or just clean it an reapply same stain (home owner want same stain)? The stain doesn't look to be in that bad of shape, and is about 3 years old. If I should strip it what do you recommend use to strip it (oven cleaner didn't touch it)? I have some HD-80 and F-18.
  11. Recipe for gutters?

I like simple green, mixed 50/50. Also, doesn't burn your skin.
  12. I am looking for a housewash recipe. I have been using SC with 12.5%, which does fine. But I am interested in knowing what kind of soaps I can get locally to mix with 12.5%, that I can use when I am out of SC. I have heard of Dawn, Tide, Casacade etc. Just looking for a mix to downstream out of a 5er. Thanks in Advance!
  13. Hey Guys, I have used F18 and had good results with it, but have heard nothing but great things about HD80. I have a 25x25 deck coming up, that has I believe a gray (solid color) oil based stain on it (oven cleaner will remove it). I need to purchase some more stripper, and was wondering if I shouldn't try HD80 for this job, or are they both about the same thing? One more question. I have a 5.3gpm develan pump set up for roof cleaning. I tried to use it the other day, and and it emptied my 5 gallon bucket of stripper in no time. I was wondering if I could decrease the tip size and make this pump work as a deck pump also, for applying stripper and brightener? All replies will be greatly appreciated. RJ
  14. Housewash recipe

How much of the soap, plus 12.5% in a 5er?
  15. I need some advise on my motor. I have a 20hp Honda twin motor, with a 5.6gpm general pump. It has about 250hrs on it. Today while pwashing, it cut off. I checked the oil and it has oil, and gas. If I let it cool for a few minutes it will start back up, and run for about 5 minutes and cut off. It won't start immediately after cutting off, it needs time to cool, and then will run for a few minutes and cut off again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance for your replies!!
  16. I am thinking about building a website, and was wondering how effective a website is for most of you. I am a little old school and when I am looking for a service, I usually check the yellow pages, but I know times are changing, so how much business do you get from your websites % wise?
  17. How many of you use a high pressure filter? And should I be using one everytime I use my surface cleaner or turbo nozzle?
  18. Celeste,

Can you send me one of the new websites that you built for someone. I have purchased the Gen. Liab. ins. and now am looking at getting a site built.

    Thanks rj242

  19. 2009 12.5% SH prices

    I am paying $2.35/gal.
  20. It is a solid. It is a light cream color.
  21. The 5-7 mentioned is the years stain is rated for, and for those that don't know, it is a latex stain.
  22. Has anybody tried the envirospec Strip Ease? I had a contractor say it works better than anything else that he has tried, and he has been in business for 30 years, but he admits that he hasn't tried HD-80 or F-18. I was just wondering if it is better than F-18 or HD-80.
  23. Business from websites?

Thanks for all the replies! My next question is should I start out with building my own website like Go Daddy website tonight, or should I hire somebody to build it for me? I have checked around about having somebody build me one and the prices have ranged from about $300-$2000. I have done some reading on the subject of building a website, and how to get search engines to recognize it. Being I am only a part-timer, I am really thinking of trying to build my own for now. Also be advised that when I search for contractors in my area, there is only a couple of contractors with websites, and both of them are 1 hr away. What is everyones thoughts on building your own site?
  24. $400 a week shouldn't be a problem if you go looking for work. I am still part-time, and make a decent side hussle with this business. I can't wait to retire from my full-time job, so that I can do this full-time. Anyway, I started out with a couple of nice yard signs (18"X24") and placed them in yards of homes that I washed. The local paper here wanted more than what I wanted to pay for adds in the begining of my business. It will probably take a couple of years before you start establishing a customer base, but each year I have grown by about 25-35%. Also there is some very good info on this site. It will help you and save you some headaches if you read all you can. GOODLUCK!
  25. Downstream test

Another one here for dsling, although I still use my M5 nozzle for rinsing, and other chems.
