  1. Interesting note on the pricing. Is that to make up for the lower work load or to make you feel better about freezing your butt off?
  2. How long of a hose can I use

I run a 4/4000 machine and with 200' of hose a 2-3 GPM injector works much better than a 3-5. YMMV.
  3. New and learning

Good tip on the sample chains. I will have to give Armstrong a call and see about getting some of the sample packs and getting a chain made up.
  4. Be sure to post up some pics. I would love to see how it turns out.
  5. As mentioned above, mild housewash mix will work just fine. Pressure wise, I would use my housewash 4-way utilizing the low soap and low rinse tips. Hardly any pressure at all.
  6. How about semi-solid vs. semi-tranparent?
  7. 2009 Sealer Poll

I have a good feeling I will be on the Armstrong-Clark bandwagon this season. Wolman from last year has left a horrible taste in my mouth.
  8. Project advice

I dont have any direct expirience with F&P, but knowing the product background I would assume it would be easier than other Wolman products to remove. More power to you on the lead and hopefully getting the job, but I can't see anything in those pics that would make me want to remove it and reseal if it were my home. Just my $0.02
  9. Went back today to seal after nuetralizing on Monday. Most of it came out great, homeowner was more than understanding that I got all of the old product off that I could. They were more than pleased with the end result. I will get pics tomorrow.
  10. Went back yesterday and restripped this deck. There were some spots of semi that came off, but the solid under the rails and on the floor did not budge. Used HD-80 again, kept it wet and dwelled for 45 min- hour. Looks like I will end up just sealing over it. I dont know what else to do at this point.
  11. Thanks for the tips. Will doing it this way strip all coats at once or will I still have to go coat by coat?
  12. I mixed the HD-80 a 8 oz. per gallon. Dwelled 30 minutes each time. I did not nuetralize Friday, but plan to before I seal. Brought a tub of both HD-80 and Citralic with me to the job, but ran out of daylight after all the extra time stripping.
  13. Need Help With Mix

My mix is 3.5 gallons of 12.5% and 1.5 gallons of water with one scoop of SC and a squirt of Dawn. Foams just fine for me, and I usualy let it dwell 10-15 minutes. I would agree with most when saying that knowing your downstreamer and using the right tips may make more of a difference than the mix itself.
  14. Stripped this deck yesterday. What I thought was one coat of semi transparent stain turned out to be 2 coats of semi transparent stain with spots of solid under the last coat of semi transparent. Stripped 3 times all together and the sports of solid would not come up. Supposed to be sealing Monday but I would really like to get these last spots of old stain up before. You can see it on the floor and under the hand rails.
