Unbelievable products are just that-- Unbelievable.
Beth n Rod replied to John T's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
We have used stuff that does this but only a couple times on truly wet wood. The thing that is nice about it, is if you have a deck that has some morning dew, you can still get the deck done. But for what we use now, well, let's just say we use products that are designed for dry wood application. Beth -

Pick up a gallon and try it on some scrap lumber. My thoughts? Acrylics are not bad.....in some cases. Beth -

John - that's not a hard strip. I know the chemist.... ****HINT**** It's the same chemist that developed Wood Tux Wet for Russell Cissell. Beth p.s. yes that basically means it IS Wood Tux Wet..... -

Government Shutdown...who's impacted (besides me???)
Beth n Rod replied to allisonhester's question in The Club House
When it comes down to it, any of us doing residential work for folks who might be affected could feel it. Keep an eye on your 401K's too. Beth -

Some of us hunt, some of us gather. I guess I'm a gatherer, because I can anything that doesn't sit still this time of year.....tomatoes, peaches, apples, I make pickles, etc...... Beth

Where were you when the 9-11 attacks happened?
Beth n Rod replied to John T's question in The Club House
I was working for a software company, and was at my desk when it happened and the radio announced it. Several people in our office had loved ones in the Pentagon that day, thankfully not in the area the plane struck. I knew two others who had friends and family respectively who were supposed to be in the twin towers but were not. Sheer luck. One was called to go to another building and had been out about 30 minutes, the other overslept and was late for work. Rod was at the chiropractor, and I texted him while he was on the table. The schools here sent out three messages with different closing times for schools, and no one knew what was accurate. Everyone went home to get their children, be with family and watch the news unfold. I'll never forget the horror of that day. Beth -
Clear stain options?
Beth n Rod replied to turbonyg's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
We like Armstrong Clark, you can also mix the semi-transparent with the toner if you want less pigment but still want to have protection. Just ask the customer if they want the deck to be grey in 4-6 weeks. They will change quickly to the semi-transparent. Beth -

Clear sealer doesn't offer proper protection. You are better off suggesting a semi-transparent. Beth -
