  1. We always support our local distributors and vendors. Anyone that we have bought a machine from gets the business to repair or maintain it. We have several sources we buy from because not all carry the same things and we find it a good thing to spread the business around to all that provide the necessities of what we need to complete our services with. 2. Political post dealing with Guns,Zimmerman/Martin

I can never understand where people get this idea when it is the N.R.A. that has been the sole progenitor of this propaganda. No one in congress has made any law, passed any legislation or bill rescinding the right of the people to bear arms. Nor has any congressman/woman made any noise about repealing the 2nd amendment. Limiting the number of rounds in a magazine has been the only thing and that was already in a bill that was law which had expired. http://www.cga.ct.gov/2013/rpt/2013-R-0039.htm anyway, back to the topic. 3. Matching Mahogany Flame?

Okay....let's all just breath. None of us are going to agree all of the time on methods or products. That's the life of a Woodie. At the end of it all when we post photos, we all admire each others work regardless of the finish. Now then.....Cabot's Mahogany Flame color, AC has a Mahogany color, and Sikkens SRD has one too. One last thing, all of our forum leaders are expected to uphold the desired professionalism here on TGS. We strive to be a forum that doesn't tolerate or allow locker room/ bar style behavior. Our goal has always been and will always be to provide a professional forum for all to exchange in business dialog. Have a great day. Oh, and if the wood is clean and bare, seal it up! :-) Beth

    Thank you Rick! Beth
  5. Political post dealing with Guns,Zimmerman/Martin

Zimmerman started it. He approached Martin. He was heard on the 911 call, being told to leave Martin alone. Zimmerman was armed. Martin was not. Beth

  7. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

John, I already posted that. Go back to post #3. I placed three links in there. There are to Government entities that enforce abuse. Good luck. Beth
  8. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

John, Take your battle OFF OF THIS FORUM. I won't have it. If you want to talk about email, fine. Be professional. But STOP jabbing. Keep the battle OFF of TGS. I welcome NO BATTLES HERE! Beth
  9. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

I have been using Constant Contact for years and years. Never tried Mail Chimp, but I hear it is similar. Chapter six part 1 (I think) of the marketing book I am writing on behalf of Cleaner Times has a large focus on email marketing. Chapters 5 and 6 are both about internet marketing. Both chapters were substantial and had to be split into two sections. I highly recommend them to all of our users. I have tried very hard to pack them with TONS of helpful information. Happy reading, and happy marketing! Beth
  10. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

Actually, that is standard. We use Constant Contact. When you add email addresses, you also add the person's first and last name. Then when you design the email, the template you use has a standard greeting or salutation. It might say Hi John, or Hello John, or something similar depending on the template the company is emailing. If a name is NOT associated with the email address, it will simply say something like Greetings for example. You should check into Constant Contact. It's pretty cool, and great for business...... 11. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

I have seen the 48 hour notice on many things I have unsubscribed to from contractor things to home goods, restaurants, and stores shop at that send far too many emails for my liking. Keep a list. If you get them past that point, take the next step. Beth
  12. How to stop unwanted emails from the same group?

Before ANYONE else responds about the industry - don't. The focus here is opting out of an email list. PERIOD. ANY email sent en mass should have an opt out at the bottom. READ THIS link..... AND THIS LINK and here is STATE LAW So if you unsubscribe and they do NOT stop, my personal feeling is report them. It might take 48 hours or so, depending on the email tool they are using. Beth
  13. Welcome to The Grime Scene Flipper! I am responding to your surprise of no equipment safeguards topics. The topic range into what we are responsible for as the 'end users'. As I can only speak for myself and Beth, we have been aware of the Canadian safety regulations built into each machine as many manufacturers have adopted them into their designs such as a machine being able to withstand direct spray from a wand and still operate through sources during our activities with the Power Washers of North America organization. We gladly welcome any input you may have and thank you for adding to our forums your knowledge on this topic. For what it is worth, we don't have too much to keep tabs on where this topic is concerned but you do bring up one that I didn't see incorporated into the designs and that is a shroud on the hose. The hoses bought most commonly have a quasi plastic/rubber 8"-10" bend restrictor by each hose end fitting, but I don't think this is what you are referring to. Most breaks happen further down the hose. Funny, now that you mention it, I have one hose in my spares which has a significantly longer restrictor which could function as a shroud. It is 3' long. The ONLY hose I have which has one as a matter of fact. Perhaps that would be a safety design hose manufacturers of which may read this forum to consider. Rod!~
