  7. Re-skin the deck. Color it done. Collect a check. Off to the dump you go. Beth
  8. Pete Marentay from Sunbrite Supply is retiring.

Pete was responsible for opening huge numbers of Domino's locations before he came to this industry. Pete M. and Chris D. founded Sunbrite together and both served on the PWNA BOD. I have worked with Pete on many occasions in the past. Pete has done much to advance this industry and to help the contractors. Pete, whatever you do now in your spare time, may it bring you happiness. ENJOY. You have earned it. Beth
  9. I never did warm up to this one. Blue gray and brick red. The hubby picked the colors, the wife was not happy, and we were glad to leave..... Beth
  10. Looking for a non-wiping stain for IPE deck

Armstrong Clark MAHOGANY color. Done. Beth
  11. Y'all just don't want to show off your ugly ducklings....see how you are? Beth p.s. that solid we put on this deck....was Sikkens Rubol. First and last time we used that stuff....
  12. John, you colors are at least in the right places. I could not get the homeowner to let us install the red on the floor and the lighter color on the rails. And Rick - it was wet and an old sucky camera. But it was sort of.....well....a cross between pepto bismol and brick. ICK. Although we did install the colors beautifully and with the best of skill!!!! Beth
  13. We never did add this one to our web site. Like I said they got a top quality job, but the colors were just to ....something. I remember trying to get him to two tone it in a more conventional way. Ultimately, his deck, his choice. She was sooooo pissed at him. She was out of town until the day we finished it....got back in time to see us collect a check. Beth
  14. Hey - the workmanship on that deck was there. The application was sharp. It was the placement of them and the colors - chosen by the client - that I didn't care for. And everyone has a job they are not wild about..... Beth
  15. The hubby was thrilled with it. The wife was not. She was not around when he made the decision. But...it paid well. Show us YOUR ugly duckling! We ALL have them. Beth
  16. That doesn't sound NEARLY as bad as a two tone we did years ago....I don't think I have the pics - I think I lost them to a hard drive crash. I'll have to look. The hubby picked the colors. It was suppose to match the brick and the trim on the house....so.... it was...... Battleship blue/gray...and brick red.....and he wanted certain parts to be certain colors.... O.M.G. Now I have to go find the pic.... Beth
  17. May hit 80 today. I love this time of year. Beth
  18. Restore is a wonderful word..... Beth
  19. John if you weren't so stubborn you might love wood. Beth
  20. Why thank you Rick. :-) I take great pride in the deck and the plants. That's my escape when things seem insane. Or, when you guys blow the forums up. Beth
  21. I'm very picky and our paradise has to look just so....with all my plants (my blooming babies) etc...we do it annually, and all my plants get planted for Mothers day. That's the routine on our particular deck. Beth
  22. Dude....we get gusts like that here too. Wind sucks. Beth
