Eric these are great questions. Oxalic and citric are typically used for wood. Oxalic can also be used to remove rust. Muratic acid is used on concrete, and for rust stains. Phosphoric acid is used in truck and house washing, and is a neutralizer for sodium hydroxide as well (so are other acids). Hope this helps. Beth

He has an epi pen. He also has a fear of needles. Someone has to be with him or it won't get used. Nearly faints each flu shot season. I have made sure several times to get him Benydryl ASAP. That he will take. I wish the epi pen solition could be applied via patch or nasal spray. I would feel alot better when he is out. He has one of those battery operated insect swatters and zaps them too. it goes up a ladder with him, especially when it's the season where they are most active. As for me, bugs don't bother me. The sting will hurt me less than the squish will hurt them. ;) As a matter of fact I took down a hornets (at least I think they were hornets) nest today, from a commercial building. Beth

And you are egging him on... Beth :groovy2:

Henry, You can HAVE that business. Rod is allergic to bee stings. One thing we look for where ever we work, are nests. He's been stung a few times, and luckily been ok but it does scarry things to him... Beth

Wood tux durability?
Beth n Rod replied to staudend's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Hi Nick, You're looking at 2-3 years on the horizontals and 4 or so on the verticals. We have visited decks this year we did last year and they look great. You can apply it with a Decker type sprayer yes. We do this with great results. Beth :groovy3: -

Beth n Rod replied to Lou Beach's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Lou, Is he the one who sells Aladdin systems? I know a company that has one and loves it, and I think they bought theirs from him. Beth -

Beth n Rod replied to Medic442's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Medic, Jon and Reed are right onthe money. You're in good hands with them, and for that matter, we hope you will find that everyone here is interested in helping one another to succeed. If we can offer any assistance, we are here for you as well. Beth & Rod -

Cleaning between cleaning
Beth n Rod replied to CLASSICPW's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Try the oxiclean on the deck. It's a percarb. You can mix a little soap with it. Works great! Oxiclean is not just for laundry anymore... Beth :groovy2: -
lol ...you guys are a hoot. Beth :groovy3:

Cleaning between cleaning
Beth n Rod replied to CLASSICPW's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
When a home owner asks what they can do, we suggest OxiClean and a deck brush and a hose. Works well. Everett, are you saying YES to bleach? <thump as she hits the floor> Beth -

Exactly. A percarb is what we suggest as well. Beth -
JOgden's name is James and he keeps a watchful techie eye out for us, and lets us know of tools and things we need. If he suggests it, he has good reason, and I would ask for more details. Beth

For those of you who have been waiting for sample kits due to a backorder on the bottles, they will be shipped on Monday August 2nd. These kits include..... Cleaners: HD-80 EFC-38 Citralic Wood Tux in: Warm Honey Gold Western Cedar California Redwood Brown Sugar Crystal Seal Beth & Rod p.s. the bottles we received were incorrect, so you will notice that they are fairly large for the Wood Tux. We normally send 2 oz. samples, but added extra since these are like 10 oz. bottles. (I think there are about 4 oz. per bottle)

Furring & Wood type
Beth n Rod replied to Gavin's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Glad to know they worked after sealing. :groovy: Glad we could help. We're here for you. :groovy3: Beth & Rod -
Jesse, That's a wonderful amount of expereince. But I think you wouldn't clean a chimney or snake a drain too, right? I think that was Ryan's point... It's not a bad thing to offer various services provided you take the time (this is just my opinion) to learn each one and make sure it is the right fit for your company. We have areas of specialty in both residential and commercial work. Beth
