Push Politics aside-- NJ Roundtable coming up.
Beth n Rod replied to John T's question in The Club House
Politics? That's what you call all this nonsense? I suppose that's one way to put it. I'm glad the season is here. That's all. Beth -

Now far back can you trace your family tree?
Beth n Rod replied to John T's question in The Club House
That's funny. I'll have to tell my daughter she's named after an aristocrat, instead of a former President that she's related to. All these years she though it was a historic family name.... Her name is Madison. Beth -

I'm hooked on it. I have read all the books and seen both seasons, and am waiting for season 3. So who here is a fan? Who do you love, who do you hate? And which house would YOU be in? Beth
-
Zach, I don't know about you but book 3 was my favorite. I can't wait for this season. But I was not wild about how the author split locations in books 4 and 5 and I really hope when they film those, they weave them back together.....Just saying. Beth

Using Photos for Marketing Campaigns
Beth n Rod replied to NJWashingGuy's topic in Business Topics & Tips
All of the photos we use are of our own work. We have before, during and afters on every job. in the past we have had to go after people for using our work, and would do it again if needed. Everyone should use shots of their own work IMO. First of all it is the honest thing to do, and second of all it most accurately represents the services you are capable of performing. Beth -

Larry is a wonderful person and a valuable resource to all who meet him. I can't express enough our thanks and gratitude for his service to this industry. Larry my friend, have a wonderful, long, happy, healthy retirement. You have earned every minute of fun! Look for an interview written by me in Cleaner Times magazine in the April issue, recognizing Larry and his hard work. Cheers Larry! Beth -

When a person registers and joins a forum proper conduct should be expected, and MOST forums are set up that you have to accept the forum rules in order to become members. The majority of members have no problem obeying the rules and enjoying the benefits of their membership. They come to learn and grow, make friends, solve problems, and some spend a considerable amount of time online. While some post, others choose not to. What has been of particular interest to me over the years is the number of people who have approached us at round tables and thanked us for the forums, thanked us for striving to maintain the professionalism, and have shared stories of how this forum helped solve problems that they had. Some, have told us they were afraid to post. They are the ones who introduce themselves as "lurkers". Many have confided that certain people are the reason they do NOT post. Let's talk about that. If people don't post, we don't grow here. And I don't think ANYONE wants any forum that they enjoy, to die. We hear that the negativity, the drama, the general BS and cr*p is a problem. People tell us when they think things are going to come over from other forums. We appreciate that heads up. And so, we make use of what the software has built into it, called the Infraction System. The Infraction System has settings that allow you to assign point values for forum rule violations. If you exceed those point, you get a temporary ban. Once that expires, the system will automatically lift it. This, is where it gets tricky. We have had two bans lift automatically recently that I wish I had realized were about to end. I missed it. The result was, drama. Un-necessary drama. In a circumstance like that, our staff will still follow the infraction/strike system, however, since that person has been banned before we do reserve the right to give the individual a custom infraction worth the entire point value the system allows, or move straight to re-banning them. Our number ONE priority here is to keep all posts professional. Beth

Who else moderated multiple Powerwashing bb's?
Beth n Rod replied to John T's question in The Club House
You are correct.... But over the years there have been lots of fine folks who have stepped up on many BBS's and offered to moderate and to admin. Have a great day. Beth -
The Official Website for the HBO Series Game of Thrones | Season 2
-
I don't know if it is on Netflix or not. We bought the DVD's. After we watched the first season on DVD, I bought all five books and read them. The first few are smaller, but 4 and 5 are large and book 5 is over 1,000 pages. There is a map of the lands, and an index of each family so you can keep track of who is who, because it gets really complex. But damn it's good. It's an HBO series. There is of course stuff in the books that will not make it to the screen, except book one was pretty spot on. Book two we just watched on DVD, and I will say there was some deviation. The third book airs in March (end of March) on HBO and from what I have heard, not all of it will fit into one season TV. And I think that is good....book three is the BEST of them so far. If you have HBO, watch it. Beth
