  4. Amber is my favorite in the A/C line, followed by Mahogany. Beth
  5. Yep, that's mahogany. I would suggest a Minwax finish. You'll need to clean the door, and sand at about 3 grits to work up to a furniture type finish. Stain it, then you have to clear coat is and scuff sand between coats. Beth

  8. Thought I would start this asking the question: What do you prefer when stripping/cleaning? With the regional aspects of this business, I find it possible that some areas may have products that are not widely advertised or recognized, and with the flood of new coatings in hybrids to acrylics, could be helpful for others to know about if they get into one of those difficult situations. Rod!~

  13. Steven, Those are some nice pics. Don't sell yourself short. Beth
  14. OH yes! Costs more than wash. Stripping takes many applications and 3-4 times as long because you spend much of the time keeping your product wet. Plus, there is the defurring process afterwards which has to be done otherwise, the deck looks like a wookie! Rod!~
  15. Hey guys, share this with your Facebook wood care friends. Let's spread the word and have some fun with this wonderful contest! Beth
  16. HD-80 was never meant to strip latex. You need a booster. Something that increases the spectrum of reactivity. Many add glycols of one form or another. Rod!~
  17. Woohoo! :-) Love a contest. so much fun to see all the wonderful work! Beth
  18. Off topic and dirty laundry

Okay everyone. Please keep threads on topic and let's all remember to not air dirty laundry and other BBS's business here. It's not cool, we do not want it, it will not be allowed. Keep threads civil, on topic, and courteous. We thank you in advance. Beth

John Orr has been under the knife a couple times for that. Call him. I hope all turns out well for you! Beth
