HOT POLLS- ***,TCN,TGS & PWNA Here are some hot polls from other BBS. Vote on your favorite. Make comments positive and not negative. This is not a contest but just a community effort to have different views in these threads from people in different forums. I picked these sites because all admins post on them and they are the most professional forums on the web. All the admins are pros and share the betterment of the industry as a whole. Remember if you vote you should look at the other threads and make a determination on your favorite. Not the best but the one that gave you the most insight and knowledge. Keep in mind that your opinion is just that; please do not make the comments personal against anyone. I guess this question might be laughable to someone who has not been doing it 6 or 7 years. The industry over the years has been changing an evolving. I think nothing is the same, its truly not laughable but just my own opionion. Instead of downing others views, is its possible you might accept others may have differ opionions? Have a nice day, hope your Biz is doing well...

I disagree with you an Ken, the industry is nothing like it was even two years ago. of course you guys have only been around a few, so seeing like vetrans is status you wont have for another 5 years or so. Ken of all people know that most new guys fail at there business with in the first 5 years. Carlos, hows the landscape business you worked for? Are you still working there? I think before you can address this subject both of you would need more experience.

I dont think the Industry has stayed the same, TGS has raised the standards almost single handed. The wood industry stands on its own feet, many look at it as a real proffession separate frm the painting industry because its a restoration business not just a guy repainting something that needs it. The care involved into this industry has change dramatic. With the national insurance agency regonizing certain org Iteka,PWNA and others as real spots to seek training an knowledge the orgs will take another leap forward. When discounts will be given or manditory use of these contractors by insurance Co will give customers discounts an reduce liability. this happened rececntly, leaders in the kec are fighting for regulation. This will truly set real contractors apart from the hacks... Educations & training is powerfull....more powerfull than web presence.

I always get confused you guys are talking residential. often home owner want more passive sales people. Relaxed and not often in a hurry, Im a commercial guy an dont have the knowledge to even address home owner sales. I would likely get thrown off property. I would need a gun to sell residential, put up to the temple an say sign here. LOL -
TGS is the best Source on the web for sure

The PWNA Convention
Ron Musgraves replied to paul horsley's topic in PWNA News, Events, and Information
Why should you go to a national PWNA convention? 1. The networking with leaders in the industry. A. Mike Hindiliter Millions in sales B. Robert Hindiliter Godfather of pressure washing C. Doc Reisman Sales Machine for million dollar operation D. Daryl Merza Making Millions an history in the industry. E. Paul Horsley one of the few guys washing railcars and making millions. 2. The learning experience from other fellow contractors. 3. The educational classes that will be offered 4. The brotherhood of people in your industry all meeting under one roof 5. Seeing the latest and greatest equipment and technology. 6. Learn what organization you need to belong to. 7. The ability to have million dollar contractors to show you the ropes. 8. Experienced proven successful business men in our industry. The experiences of meeting people from around the globe have given me so much value to my business. Networking, talking and learning from others is power. You feel like your business is missing something? It’s all about getting involved with your profession on a new level.
