Defurring Pad
rknight68 replied to RCBill's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Brian, I was just about to hit the complete order button and realized that the shipping for ONE pad (22.50) was going to be $21 and changed my mind. Why so high on shipping, I thought I was shopping Ebay! (zip 63383) -
I'm still in the washing my own and my friends things as I get comfortable with the equipment and chemicals. Going along with that, I tried out my tank, and it was a flop. I have a direct drive pump (3.3gmp, 3500PSI, 13HP honda, cat pump) and the pressure was noticably lower drawing from the tank, then it went to nothing. I also notice that the with the hose connected to a tee and tank vavle open, I did not draw as well at the pump. The tank is 250gal, the 2" outlet sits almost 2' below my pump's inlet. I just got a new trailer and am going to have to redo my plumbing, maybe there was a leak. From what I've read this can be a problem. If that doesn't take care of it, what type of DC inline pump would anyone recomend to remedy my problem. Rog

I think he meant he would use 10 gallons of his solution on that 1500 sq ft house

Although I agree with Tony, I think that there is some merit to printing your own and having electronic copies of everything. I think that makes a good tool for keeping easy tabs on pricing and sales, and reminders for follow up work later. I've been working with an excel sheet that was posted here. I have it on my PPC and am working out printing straght from there wirelessly.

Reed, I've been in the process of getting everything lined out. Still having some trouble with the phone company and the second line, but found a temporary fix using the test port. I've updated my signature with all contact information. Thanks for for thinking of me for the work, I'll be in touch. Rog

Down stream injector
rknight68 replied to tunatussle's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I have a Mi-T-M 3504 Hotwater Machine 3500 psi 3.3 gmp (11HP Honda/Cat Pump/Belt Drive) which I purchased used. It has a new chemical injector which was installed last season (not sure if ceramic or SS ball). My question is regarding the adjustment for the pump and length of HP hose. I originally only had 50' of hose (I know) and the chemical took a bit to get to the tip, but I got there. After I added another 50' of hose (I'll get more) once I switch to low pressure on the dual lance all I get is a blast of steam (which used to be followed by soap), but no soap. I tried to adjust the flow, but not able to get anything other than steam. Is the chemical just vaporizing in the Heating coil? Any ideas would be appreciated. -
I was gonna say...but then I thought I read wrong, turbo and hotwater on wood? That Ken, what a jokester.

Hello to all and thanks for a great resource (with current posts)!!! The Grime Scene has been a great resource for KPW. I'm just starting out and lam ooking forward to building a business that allows me to stop reporting to someone else and start steering the ship. I live in a rural area near Hwy 70 (mile marker 194) and there seems to be a unmet need for Semi washing. For that matter it doesn't look like anybody is cleaning anthing flat, upright, moving, or parked.....there's gold in in 'dat der dirt!!!!!
