  1. Roof safety?

OSHA law is that the device has to be able to support 2.5 times the impact load. That is all for Fall Positioning where the ropes are set so that you will not get within 6 feet of the edge of the roof and the fall is limited to 2 feet or less. We sell the roof pipe anchor. Call our office to get one. 855-763-8669. AC
  2. We use gutter canes instead. http://www.jracenstein.com/item/74-1265/gutter-cane-softwash-systems/default.asp?sort=gmt4t AC
  3. Do Zinc Strips work?

You have to put them every 4 feet. Too ugly! AC
  4. Minimum Pricing

I'd raise that. That seems real low. AC
  5. Technique keeps chems on the roof not so much product. We use non-foaming surfactants with no phosphates. AC
  6. Whats a good start up Rig

Yes we are. Bringing a NEW SoftWash Systems Generation III Cradle Skid with us hopefully in the bed of my 1960 F-100 if were lucky and the truck is done by then. AC
  7. Whats a good start up Rig

Here is a great robust system that includes a starter pack of our chemicals as well as our Certified Applicator 20 Module, 3 DVD program. http://www.jracenstein.com/kit/150-0411/softwash-system-rhg-smartwash-starter-pk/ AC
  8. "New" Applesauce Roof Cleaning Mix

TSP is illegal in most states because of the US Clean Water Act. Releasing phosphates is not a good idea. There are many surfactants on the market that do not use phosphates like our Green Wash, http://www.jracenstein.com/item/83-61/green-wash-5-gal/default.asp?sort=0pde2 AC
  9. Love you guys but you are factually wrong. Chris, We did show pictures of competitors to show the direct link between companies who cared for their equipment and appearance and them having workers compensation and other insurances as well as proper licensing. There is a direct link (though not 100%) between those companies who equipment and appearance looking poor and not caring about that and them also not caring to comply with insurance, licensing and safety regulations. I did object strongly to those not participating in business on a level playing field taking jobs purely competing on price. So yes I did regularly point out to customers what my competition looked like and even did regular checks on workers comp insurance to show why they might be lower than I on these services. Our SoftWash Authorized professionals do it now. I know they have even competed against you using licensing, insurance, workers comp and AskTheSeal.com background checks. Rapid, I said everyone "deserves to be able to make a living". How did that turn into "any roof cleaner owes me a living"? I also believe that everyone has a choice of who to do business with as well as if they desire to cut out the middle man. I was merely pointing out that if you cut people out of the process dont be sad if they do the same to you. KARMA? maybe so, but I have heard pressure washing companies complain about building owners buying their maintenance men pressure washers to cut out the pressure washing contractor. Just an observation. Oh Rapid it's Green Wash not Hogwash  I have always and will continue to be tough competition. We do not lie, steal or cheat. We don't drop our prices just to snag a deal. But we will point out factual differences in our businesses that make real dollar and cents differences and allow the customer to decide who is the most worthy company to give their business to. Sometimes it is us and sometimes it isn't, but we are happy with our ability to garnish the top jobs we get. AC
  10. Some people don't like the smell of bleach. Cover scents help people tolerate the small of the bleach. Also days later the bleach smell is gone but now we have the dead algae smell that smells similar to a boys locker room. This needs masked as well. Adding some scent to your mix helps allot. Our cover scent certainly isn't $14.99 a pound. I also dont understand cutting out the middle man. Seems that is bad karma. One day we will all get cut our and get what we deserve from the actions we took cutting out others. Everyone deserves to make a living. http://www.jracenstein.com/item/83-695/rain-fresh-gallon/default.asp?sort=wo1pz Thanks, AC
  11. You are getting the roof too wet! Bleach is an oxidizer and needs air to start the bleaching action. The heavier you put the mix on the roof the longer it takes to work. Call me for help. 407-832-1108 AC
  12. Jay, You may not need a 40/60 mix. Check this link out. http://www.softwashsystems.com/page_mixology.htm AC
  13. We clean in the rain often here in Florida. I prefer the roof chems to stay on the roof at least 24 hours. However you still have to complete production to pay the bills. You can always return for a re treat or provide a warranty with courtesy treats during the first year of warranty. Hope this helps. AC
  14. Great Job. Nicely framed up before and after pic. That will surely sell for you! AC
