Why would I be refueling if the pump was running? Yea the pw was off. It had run out of fuel as I was working. It was the heat of the exhaust after the spill that ignited it.
-
Yep, most of the spill was on the tank and on the exhaust side. The fuel cut off switch melted a bit along with some of the battery case and strap. The pretty red Briggs design is now black with soot. But, I turned the key and she fired right up. Oh the fuel tank is a little warped from the heat as well. I ran it for another hour. It sputtered a bit from doucheing the the unit with water. Maybe got a little in one of the fuel filters or carbs. This is where you guys will want to slap me. !!!!!!! I do have an extinguisher. It's at the very bottom of the tool chest...... BURIED. I just didn't want to dig for it and cost time. It will now reside in a more accessable location. But yea, it stills runs fine, it's just black now instead of red. I am still freaking that I did not get one burn anywhere. When the can was at my side , my shirttail caught fire and didn't burn any skin. When I put the cap back on the briggs to put out the "derrick" I only singed my hair. I got so lucky. Quite a fews jobs under my belt over the years and this is a first. It was 90 degrees and 20mph winds all day. Those tanks should have blown but they didn't. Maybe it was the way they were scientifically designed or like I said, someone "up there" needs a raise and a praise.

Welcome aboard, please go to "my controls" and complete your signature. Is Univar in Baton Rouge? If so you can get your 12% from them.

What should I use for 2 and 3rd story houses?
Adrian replied to Rodgers12's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I get 3 stories w/xjet attached to trigger only. Also I attach the container to a 2wheeler. Piece of cake. As in most of the threads I have seen on this subject, it boils down to personal preference IMO. -

Cool, nice tool for several different businesses.

I have seen that done as well Lenny. I haven't seen any caulking that actually matches the tone of the concrete. Like I said mostly for settlement cracks. I really do not feel it is a hard service to perform. Just seeing how the problem presents itself, pull up the damaged or rotten wood from the expansion and replace with rubber mallet tapping the new wood back in it's place.
-
I meant the wood expansion joints. Gut out the old rotten joint, clean out debris and replace with a new 1x1 wood joint the width of driveway or sidewalk. I see alot of rotten ones and was thinking that this could be an upsell. Most driveways I see are all wood expansion joints. Keep extra joints on the trailer and have them handy for an upsell during the cleaning sale.
-
Actually I didn't explain. My bad. I meant the wood expansion joints in driveways/ sidewalks. It's usually in bad shape on most of these driveways. Rotted and splintered pretty bad. I have seen some of the liquid used in cracks in the flatwork though. Never really ends up matching the crete. I will send a pm to Jim and see if I can bend his ear for a moment.

Wow, alot of views but no comments. Well, I liked the project anyways. It was a great experience with all the mexican tile, pool, and potential hazards. Oh well, I'll bump it up just in case anyone wants to comment. -

NIce website. What's your name, and can you fill out your signature please? It kind of depends on what you are going to clean with that pw. If you plan on tackleing a shopping center parking lot, I would borrow your friends. If you are going to do resi washes, the xjet will come in real handy with that size pw. You can cut your 12% sh, down to about 3-4%. You will want to get a surface cleaner too as most resi's can be upsold to driveway washes. Maybe if you PM Nichole or Tracy at sun Brite Supply ( on this BBS) They will post the proportioner chart for you. You will definately want a larger PW asap ( your call). More GPM will make jobs go faster for you. -

Tan Dickies have worked the best for me Dane. $15.00 shirts, $15.00 pants , $12.00 shorts. They are very tough as well creeping through foliage with thorns and such. But you have the agvantage of looking like a surfer anyways, so yours should work fine. Me.... being a little more "fuller, aged, and refined (lol) looking, the Dickies work best for me. Plus I can have my company logos sewn on for $8.00 each at the local seamstress. Am I a cheapo or what? At least I get the pro look w/o the higher cost of the uniforms. I feel customers appreciate a uniformed contractor vs. flip flops, tank top and cut off shorts. JMO.

Here's a great place for complete field kits as well. I swear by these guys as i have used their products for years in the medical field when I was an EMT. Reasonably priced as well. EMS and Medical Supplies and Equipment - DixieEms.com
