I have a honda GX 390 that is probably 14 years old . I have never had a problem with it until the other day when it started spitting and cracking and would catch back up if I let off the wand. Now it has quit completely and will not start. It is getting plenty of fuel but is not getting any fire. does this engine have a control module or coil or both.I just use it around the house so I am trying to fix myself,any suggestions please.

I ordered the coil and replaced it,still no crank,I unplugged the green wire coming from lower portion of the block and it fired right up.I guess this is the low oil sensor.apparently bad, plugged back together and it kills the engine.The coil was cheap enough to try. I think i'll just keep a check on the oil and the heck with the sensor.

I replaced the air filter today and it fired up and ran for a little while until it got hot and skipped a couple of times and cut off. I pulled spark plug out and checked to see if getting fire and nothing. Apparently it is losing fire after it warms up. coil?

I don't know the diff here,but I did hear the diff between a resession and a depression.A recession is when your neighbor loses their job, A depression is when you lose your job.

Randy,apparently the spots where you put the clorine are the only spots that are thoroughly clean.In this situation I would have downstreamed 12% over drive to begin with and after cleaning downstreamed clorine cut in half over drive and left on it.

I heard on the clark howard show today that water is what destroys a razors blade.He said if you will take the time to dry the blades after using it,it will last a year easy.He said he just trashed one he used for a year.

Philip, at least he has talked to his customer about the problem,it does'nt sound like the supplier even cares enough to at least have someone available to answer calls.

I used to use armor all on the vinyl around car bumper,doors moulding,etc. until I noticed the vinyl turning white from using it.

The only thing I would probably add is to go with kohler or honda engine and the general pump. I had a cat pump on a cold water unit that I bought from northern 12 years ago during part time biz. They were expensive to work on then, may be different now. I still have and use this one from time to time and the honda engine still fires on at least the third pull and runs like a top. It now has a general pump though. I bought the rk-43 from delco almost 3 years ago. The only regret I have with this one is the 12 volt system even though I haven't had any problems with it so far. I hope I didn't just jinx that.

Ken, I know some of the guys here use some of the overpriced housewash soaps,but I think housewashing in the south is a little different than in the northern states.We are only washing away mildew,spider webs and surface dust or pollen. We are not dealing with the pollutants and carbon staining. I have tried the stuff to see if it would help with gutters and I still had to brush them.I only use the dawn as a surfactant to make the bleach cling. The only added effect it has in my opinion is the windows sparkle after using dawn as do my drinking glasses after using dawn on them. Occasionally I do have situations where I need alittle extra punch, but I have the juice for them when I need it. Rest assured that my customers are getting there monies worth when I'm finished.

two gallons of 6% to 3 gallons of water and half of cup of dawn through old x jet wiyh no proportioner worked great for me when I washed with x jet.
