  9. I just got back from the 2013 Pressure Washing Seminar in Albany, New York. I had such a great time catching up with old friends and making many new ones. The week started out teaching day one of the Pressure Washing and Wood Restoration Class. I had lost my voice on Tuesday night but was able to teach on Wednesday. I was very fortunate that Matt had the majority of the topics on day one of the class. On Thursday morning my voice was nonexistent in the early morning and didn’t think it would be possible to teach the class. Once I put on the microphone I was able to speak and teach my path of the Wood Restoration class. On Thursday afternoon the sponsors were very busy setting up their booths. The Thursday night Networking Reception could not have been better, the place was packed with both contractors and sponsors. Most of the contractors took advantage of this time to speak with the sponsors to learn more about their products and services. Friday morning started out with Sam Jackson from Hydro Tec talking about maintaining and troubleshooting your equipment. Sam was a special guess which I received compliments about for the entire event. I would like to thank both Sam and Hydro Tec for their involvement at our event. The second presentation was done by Matt Johnson and Tom DeFrancesco about the experiences they had responding to the disaster left behind after hurricane Sandy. Both Matt and Tom spent many weeks in a devastated area on Long Island helping homeowners getting their lives back on track. Thad Eckhoff from Pressure Washing Resource Association (PWRA) followed with a presentation on how to dominate your market. Thad shared many of the tools and techniques he has used to dominate his markets. It was very nice to meet Thad for the first time. The final presentation was done be Steve Blyth from J Racenstein where he explained in detail all the features and types of water feed pole systems. Steve and Dwight demonstrated one of their water pole systems later that day. I would like to thank Steve for taking the time out of his busy schedule to come to the event. The afternoon was filled with demos run by Matt Johnson of Pressure Washing Equipment. He demonstrated the use of a surface cleaner that was attached to a recovery system as well as a M-Jet and a Hydro Tec extension wand. Saturday morning started out with a presentation from a certified QuickBooks expert. She shared with us many ways to use QuickBooks to be more productive as well as its accounting capabilities. The rest of the morning consisted of several breakout sessions which included Constant Contact, roof cleaning, high end wood restoration, decorative and protective coatings and safety. All of the sessions were well received. We ended the day with a catered lunch followed by many giveaways. The grand prize, a Hydro Tec recovery system found a new home. I would like to thank all of the sponsors for making this event possible.
  10. Thad, Both Matt and I appreciate your sponsorship of the 2013 Pressure Washing Seminar. I hope all of the contractors that come to this event understand that our sponsors make this event possible. I’m looking forward to this exceptional educational and networking event. All of our sponsors at this event are the leaders in the pressure washing industry. It will be great when you break the 100 member milestone.
  11. Kris, I understand your confusion about how many members the ***** has and no one from that org will give us a straight answer. I see the 37 commercial, 77 contractors by state, 17 distributors, and 42 Residential on there website which is very confusing. Once I took a closer look I found that the commercial and residential count is a duplicate of the 77 contractors by state. So the number that I come up with is 77 members. Just a couple of weeks ago I saw a post stating that they had just added over 30 members from some event. If my math is correct they had only 47 members before that event. If someone from the ***** BOD could help us understand the numbers it would be appreciated.
