i do downstream but there are times when the x-jet is a useful tool ..... to be honest i have not used mine in months but it is invaluable when you are in a tight and it will work well ....last time used was on a church steeple -
i would not feel it would be worth 700.00 ,i would say 400.00 if its nice ....for a backup you can spend a little more than 700.00and get a new machine....not a landa but definatly a good backup

chris , i called them when i bought mine ,i have an m-5 ,they told me i could run up to 100 feet of 3/8 hose ....i hve a couple of sections i keep for different applications .....20feet ,50feet ,75 feet.......i have not used 100 but the rest work great....hope this helps -

let me clarify .... i use hot to apply chems to non painted surfaces....i,e. vinyl,any how i use hot sparingly on homes ,most of our problem here is mold and mildew but it is nice to have the hot water and i do love it sooooo much .......i couldnt live w/o it
