05/21/2008 The first annual Built Green Expo will take place June 13-14, 2008 at Santa Barbara City College, West Campus.

The event, sponsored by Built Green Santa Barbara, will highlight the latest in green products, services and innovative technologies.

The conference will also have a variety of educational seminars, panels, and demonstrations, with eminent speakers and panels on topics related to energy efficiency, material selection, and sustainable approaches to design and construction.

Confirmed speakers are Ernst Ulrich von Weizsaecker, Dean of the UCSB Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management; Bill Hayward, Chairman of FSC-US Board of Directors and President & CEO of Hayward Lumber Company; Michelle Kaufmann. Founder of Michelle Kaufmann Designs; John Picard, Environmental Consultant & Founder of the USGBC. The Tour will showcase residential and commercial Built Green™ projects in Santa Barbara.

The event will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day and the schedule is currently on the expo website.
