Old Forestry products recipe for Preservative proves to be a battle

Question

Here is a cob blast we did this year with interesting effects. This preservative soaked into the wood so far that 20/40 cob wouldn't pull it off the grain. We then prepared for actually blasting again with a 4070 grit glass and started a corner with fantastic results when the homeowner stopped us and asked us to put a sample of the finish on. Once we did that he fell in love and had us continue the staining. Said it looked "burnt" and he couldn't pay someone to do that. We finished up the job and he gave a 2.5k tip. Lol, just when you think your doing it wrong, a nice payday it turns out to be! I split the tip with my crew, needless to say it made them more than happy.

I will post the finished pics in a couple days. Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Hey that is pretty cool, has the look of an exotic wood or something, nice and even also. That has to be the preferred method of preparation for log homes when removing old products. Very nice!!
