Hi :-)

What gun would you suggest for a 5.6 gpm pump?

It has a belt drive, with an 18 hp engine.

Also, what tips?

I am using a #8 40 degree now.

Pam,

Give me a call and I can tell you different guns and tips I use for my machine

Assuming flat work/high pressure of say 3kpsi you would be needing more like a 6.5 tip...what are you cleaning as your at under 2kpsi now with a #8?

If your downstreaming chems there is one main gun of choice that allows them to work proper with no problems...Someone else surely will chime in with the model #. Mines locked up in the truck right now. :)

If you are looking for trigger gun recomendations

my favorite for up to 8 GPM @ 5000 PSI is the

AL35.

AL35 Easy Pull spray gun features five thousand psi maximum pressure, eight gallons per minute maximum flow and three hundred degrees maximum temperature.

The Easy Pull trigger makes this an anti-fatigue spray gun. Three eighths inch fpt inlet and one quarter inch fpt outlet with a stainless steel inlet tube

Pam if you are planning on downstreaming you need to go with a larger capacity gun that will be at least 12gpm minimum

Like Russ said if you downstream look for a gun with the largest size ball inside they will give the best draw rates.

Really what you want is a gun that fits the capacity of your machine and one that is comfortable in your hand and offers the least fatigue. Look for an "easy squeeze" or Hydraulic compensating gun they offer the best comfort when working. Also take into consideration the size of the workers hands a big or fat gun in small hands can be tiring on the operator. The general pump YG5000 is a good gun for smaller hands and the YRL50 is good for small hands and is an hyd compensating (what I use).
