My apologies. I was just trying to lighten the mood.

Tom from Tucson is going on the boat this year.

I would have gone last year but I wasn't in a financial position to take off a weekend and go to San Francisco on short notice.

I'd go this year with Shelly since, for the first time in ten years she isn't tied down to her business, but Jim raised his prices. I'm trying to find a lowballer in San Francisco with a 50 hp Bayliner who can pull Shelly and me up to the dock at the ballgame.

Do you think big tour yacht guys complain about lowballers on their bbs's? Just pondering.

As some already know, we have had our Round Tables a bit differently than the norm.

For a few years now, we have had special events such as Court-side seats to the NBA which included Dinner with one or more of the players and or All Access even to the locker rooms.

Last year we had a 49 ft sailing Yacht with License crew as transportation to and from the ATT Baseball Park. Once there we had Luxury suites with all the fixings for us to enjoy while we watched the game.

By popular demand, we decided to have the Sailing Yacht this year except we have upgraded to a 50+ ft. Photos shown below.

Last year we only invited 3 people from *** to attend. Two could not make it , one did. Because of this, we had many others say they would like to go if they only was invited. So I will open the remanding tickets to members on The Grime Scene.

Tickets to attend are non refundable and must be purchase on a first come first serve bases. Meaning, you say you are going, but do not pay ASAP, that spot will be available to anyone else who pays first. You snooze you loose.

This 2 day even will costs us over 18k. Your tickets offered here at the Grime Scene are for SUNDAY AUG 29 th, 2010 ONLY ! Saturday was filled in 5 hours after they became available.

The cost per ticket FOR SUNDAY ONLY is $450 per person. This will include the Sailing Yacht of approximately 4 to 7 hours, The game in the executive suites on Aug 29th ONLY.

PLEASE NOTE: Lodging and food is your responsibility and is not included We will recommend that the hotel you pick is located at the Oakland Airport AREA . NO TRANSPORTATION is provided to or from the hotel for any reason.

Schedule:

7:40 AM On boat call. Loading

8:10 am Safety Instructions given by Captain as required by Coast Guard.

8:30 AM Taxing out to Bay. If you miss the 9:00 launch, you missed the event. No refunds

12 NOON Arriving at Willie Cove. Disembark

1:00 PM LETS PLAY BALL !!!!

4:00 PM Loading on the boat for the cruise back

8:00 PM Arrival at the Marina.

Costs for pre order through May is $275* per person which includes a $175 discount. In the last 24 hours when we decided to put these out for sale, only 12 tickets remain available out of 32, we expect these to go fast.

* a $30 gratuity for the crew is required on top of the $275 pp pricing.

Here is the Sailing Yacht. To my knowledge it was built 2010. It only has been out once since it was built.

Thanks to all that called and showed your support during this thread. Thanks to everyone who was sincere in asking questions about our Round Table.

If you were not able, or quick enough, to buy your seat at the California Round Table, Unfortunately, we are FULL and will not be accepting any more seating arrangements. We actually have a waiting list of 3. If you want to be on the list, please call me. You will have to put a $100 deposit which is refundable if there are not seats available or you chose to cancel before seating is confirmed.

How the list works is if someone cannot make it who already paid, you will pay them for their spot. I will provide their names to the ones on the waiting list, that is, only if they cannot make it and would like to give up their reserved seating.

Again, Thanks for all who were able to go, and thanks for all who inquired about the event.

We have 2 to 3 of these a year, of which, we MAY list them here again.

I want to thank Rod and Beth for their support and respect in all of this.

Let the party begin !!!!

Jim, I love you bro. But the underlined words are why you have trouble on the boards. Just let it go and be proud of what you are doing without planting seeds of drama and your acceptance on the web will increase.

Before it seemed you didn't know these things so you were told. Now you're just making jabs. Relax.

For the record, I'd like to go to Jim's event. I called him too late this time to make all parts of the event (boat and game). San Francisco bay was part of our honeymoon and we'd really like to go. Well probably go next time.

I'd like to see Tom, Russ, and myself all three joining Jim at his event. It would be four devoted Christians, most of which need to realize that life is too short for all this jabbing over something that is nothing more than personality conflicts. We've all got areas we could work on. Maybe together we could help each other with them.

Stepping down now. :soapbox:

Jeff, I don't know any good Christians. Just forgiven ones. (And I won't pay for those either) :)

Barney Frank is Elmer Fudd reincarnated. I don't pay for cartoon characters. :)

Tony, it was good talking with you for almost 3 hours last night. WOW three hours. I hope you understand my intent was not a jab as you say. After I explained, I am glad you see the reasons.

Quick enough, just because the event went in two days and was full. An example, You wanted to go, but it was to late. Already full. Meant nothing else by it.

Sincere, because some said/ posted they wanted to go and was not sincere. They was just joking around, a little humor if you will. Again, nothing else meant by it. Just stating a fact.

The MAY, because of the Hijacking of the post. This was the only issue, but I thought I should let others now that we put on good events. Fun events. There are other Round tables that do the same as well. We try to take all that is good and do a little different type of event. Nothing good, nothing bad, just different.

If anyone is looking to read a post in a neg way, then that someone can easily achieve it. Including me. I think everyone has this ability, and that ability, is responsible for allot of misunderstandings and drama on all of the BBS.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our California Round Table. It will be a great one.

Again, we are over booked for the Sunday event. If you would like to be on the waiting list, Please do so. Every year something comes up and someone gets sick, or has another issue where it prevents them from making the event. Since the seats are very limited, I would advise you to make the list. I will choose the order from the time slot of when they made the list.

AGAIN, I ask that his thread be closed. The event is full.

Thanks,

Jim

Just a curiosity, your original post was a week ago and you are now saying the event is full after two days. Is there a calendar in San Francisco that has two days being a week. From what I can tell, at two days you dropped the price and edited your original post to reflect the price drop. Am I the only one confused on where the truth is on this post?

I jist went back and looked and 5 days ago you were saying that there were still 6 spaces left. Since most sailboats don't hold that many people... just an observation on my part.
