No Guy B, I wasn't kidding.

But I'm waiting for you to enlighten me.

What is your soft wash mix?

Besides SH and dawn like so many seem to be using

on this site for their mixes. Purple Power is an industrial degreaser

with Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Metasilicate as the main ingredients.

Yes, I am a neeebie so please educate me.

I just thought it might be a good add on to SH and water.

Sorry Buddy not trying to be a smart butt. S.Hydroxide is used as a stripper & degreaser, it can strip and streak painted siding and oxidized siding. I've seen it take the paint completely off a gutter. There are too many surfactants out there that are way more safer and less expensive than PP. If you do use it, I wouldn't use much just be careful.

Be careful mixing dawn with SH, Dawn has ammonia in it, and the two really shouldn't be mixed.

Purple power sucks, one the dye in it is just extra to clean off and if you boost it with SH the purple gets chunky and messy.

@Adam And are you referring to SH as Sodium Hypochlorite or SH as Sodium Hydroxide?

A buddy of mine uses simple green for house wash less corrosive and safer.

Declat,

How much Purple power would you put in a 5'er?

Id put 0 oz. in a 5er. Sorry, I was actually being a sarcastic with my first comment. There are just some things I refuse to use. Purple Power and Simple Green being two of them.

I think I had been hanging out at taco Mack for a few hours when I posted that.

Seriously though, please be careful mixing your own concoctions. I'd hate to hear about you on the 6o clock news.

Thanks for the sarcastic remarks D'eclat.

But I would rather have useful info since I'm

just starting out in the business.

If someone out there has something that they use

to kick up their house wash I would like to read about

it.

Bleach is great for getting the mildew and the surfactant I use helps it cling,

but sometimes I come across dirt that is a little stubborn to get off. Just trying to find

something that will help to lift the stubborn dirt up so I can rinse it away better.

I use Purple Power for degreasing oil spots on restaurant drive thrus but that's about it. Since PP is Buytl based it can etch glass and aluminum very easily if not rinsed off right away. Not a good idea for house washing.

Yeah, sorry, that was mean. I couldn't resist though.

If your cleaner needs a little help, maybe try some foaming additive to help your detergent cling to and loosen the dirt up longer so it don't just run off.

Most people seem to like the cherry powder stuff though.

Hey cleanhoods, I meant sodium hypochlorite, sorry for the confusion. That mixed with soaps that have ammonia can produce some nasty fumes. It will even say on some detergents not to mix with bleach for this reason.
