Unloader leak under the spring coil

Recommended Posts

I bought new vrt3 unloader, and after first use I notice little bit of water just under the coil. It doesn't look like its a big leak it was just one big drop of water there. I never saw any leaks in this place before on my other unloaders. Is it a faulty one or some kind of normal condensation? Machine is mounted inside my van, so its pretty hot when engine is running, but I don't see any other leaky or sweaty spots anywhere on my plumbing.Any suggestions? Thanks!

the shaft seal is not difficult to change, and would take less time than waiting for a replacement to come.

the leak could be more than a nussance leak.. it probably won't get worse for a long time, unless the o-ring was damaged on install.

PLUS..

I don't see a safety-relief on the head of that pump..

if that unloader has a cut o-ring, and it gets sticky,

you could have a very bad day.
