Learned something new today

Recommended Posts

No need to replace the entire cable for the throttle assembly.

Just replace the wire inside the cable. The wire feeds right through the cable, then cut and bend appropriately to the linkage.

My older pw throttle cable just got used up over the years. Finally snapped.

Super easy fix. $1.00 for 2 ft. of throttle wire for the cable.

The assembly was just under $50.00 to replace with all new parts which would have to be ordered.

I don't have time to wait for parts in transit.

Store merchant said to try this method first.  Only cost a buck.Worked great!!!!!!!

Playing my guitar at the bus station is finally paying off, I just happened to have a buck.

Good to have another line of work in case your pressure washing business does not pay off.

It works at the amtrak station too, Thad.

However they are quick to point out that if I don't have a ticket, I gotta play waaaaaaaaaaaaaay over there.

Adrian, what kind of shop had the throttle wire?

I had my throttle wire break last year and the local shop had a new one for only $25 so I got it as I needed it, sure could have just changed out the wire but never even thought of them being replaceable.

Thanks.

Chris, I went to a shop in New Caney that sells yard equipment.

You know, weed whackers and blowers, mowers.

She said she runs into that situation all the time with older OEM parts.

Saved me a ton of time and money. I need it this morning, and would still be waiting if shipped.
