Saw this on Ebay and thought a TGS person in the Houston area might want to take a look. Seems to be a real good deal at the Buy it Now price. http://cgi.ebay.com/4500PSI-Steame-pressure-wash-20H-Honda-5-5-GPM-TX_W0QQitemZ290020704918QQihZ019QQcategoryZ50388QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Plainpainter. I see that Tergitol is about 19 bucks for 100ml. How much do you add per gallon of house wash? As a surfacant do you notice that the bleach/houseclean mix holds on or sheets better than not using it?

Suggestions on which HOT PW to purchase
Keth replied to Tom DeFrancesco's question in Residential Pressure Washing
This may be the one he is talking about. Looks like a lot more GPM for less money. http://www.pwmall.com/detail.aspx?ID=2999 -

The TS 2021 is a workhorse that can really move some water. That is a great pump at a great price. Congrats. -
help with trailer setup
Keth replied to TalcottPressureWashing's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Congrats on the new washer. Most often I see these setup with the PW unit mounted near the back door so the exhaust can vent with the tank in the middle of the traiiler for balance. If you have a side door the reels can go there for curbside deployment. Where did you get the PW from? -
1 cup of bleach per toilet. Dwell for an hour. Clean toilet. I imagine they already tried this so I am guessing she is talking about rust stains. Can't wait to find out what she is talking about. Bring a camera!

First Cedar Job
Keth replied to mdmtexican's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
It appears to be good work but a photography lesson might be a good investment. :lgbouncesA friend of mine who does word restorations likes to use Sodium Percarbonate for stripping on Cedar. I am sure the pros here could provide more info. -
Hey great news! Congrats on being a pro and dealing with this in a way that the owner was agreeable to. Just didn't look like PW damage to me.

Mike, When you say "espec" do you mean Envirospec? Looking at their website I am only seeing Chemicals and no hardware. I did order a catalog though. Thanks, Keth

I agree with you 100% Jeff. Some may say I am not patriotic when I say I don't support the president but I consider myself a great patriot when I can think for myself and realize that the best thing we can do as Americans is insist that the young boys who we are sending to die every day in Iraq come home as soon as possible. We have now killed about 30k innocent Iraqi women and children trying to quash this uprising. Some say up to 100k due to death by disease and malnourishment due to the war. Think of how many people lost a son or daughter over there who will have a deep hatred of us for the rest of their lives. No amount of soldiers are going to fix this problem and we now stand in the middle of a vicious civil war that we created. I think this current administration will go down in history as the worst ever.

Thanks Ken. Back on topic. Just out of curiosity I checked my fiberglass screens on my screened in porch as they are about 7 years old as well. In the areas that are hit by the sun the most I see the degradation the worst with whitish patches throughout. I have a few holes that look like what you show in the area where my children play and I presume that is from the random toy being thrown into the screen. The most interesting part I found was the same exact damage along the edges in one panel. It is a panel that contains the screen material looser than the others and it is on the side of the house that would get buffeted the most from the prevailing wind. It appears that it flapping in the breeze causes the edges to break down at the transition. This is just a theory but it may explain what you are seeing. Then there is the big gaping hole in the metal screen on the door that was caused when my son decided to put a golf club to a use other than hitting a ball....... :lgbonk:

Ken, Can you tell me what the X-jet does that would cause a problem and what you do instead so I can avoid any mistakes with it? Thanks, Keth

deck+housewash
Keth replied to Neil_Asheville's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Great work Neil. The owner must be very happy. Can I assume that the split shot shows the wood with the HD-80 on it after dwell time and the cleaned area is what it looks like after your low pressure rinse? I am not a wood guy but am planning on doing my deck next year and just thinking this HD-80 may be just the ticket. -
Who is going to PWNA throwdown in October?
Keth replied to EnviroClean's topic in Business Topics & Tips
I would like to go but my wife has a work commitment that weekend and I have to play Mr Mom. For hotels make sure you use www.sidestep.com. They search tons of hotel sites and usually have the best rates. A great little search engine that many poeple dont know about. -
Had a job last year where I put down 9 yards of mulch in one day and it was as hot as today is and it was brutal. I drank so much water and gatorade and never had to pee once. The owner was nice enough to set a big commercial fan in the driveway and I would take frequent breaks, hose down, drink gatorade while standing in front of the fan. I don't think I would have made it without that fan that day. Never understood why the owner had one but it was a godsend. Today I am just hunkered in the AC and ordering some stuff online. Relief is on the way for you northerners soon. We will be like this for weeks on end.

Jeff, Once you have Quickbooks set up properly it is easy to use and will save you hours of work. Here is what you should try. Go to the local community college and find out who teaches the Quickbooks class. Almost all of the community colleges have the class offered. Find out the name and the number of the instructor. I have yet to meet an instructor that doesn't work on the side setting up businesses. Hire them for a few days to get Quickbooks all set up to run your business and teach you how to enter stuff at the end of each day or week. Once set up you will be shocked at how easy your bookeeping becomes. Hope this helps. Keth Magic Wando Pressure Cleaning Mount Pleasant, SC

half and half em! I find it odd though that they all dont have alternate exits as I thought many states had that as part of the fire code. Whatever happens I am sure you will do a great job!
