  1. Home Depot carries Krud Kutter products but I have never seen their Graffiti Remover there. Call these guys near you. They carry Krud Kutter products and if they don't have the Graffiti Remover they can probably get it for you quickly.

  2. Had a job yesterday where the owner called and said "I need some rust stains removed from a walkway" so I packed up the oxalic and the X-jet M5 and headed over. Turned out to be red dirt which is odd for this area so the fill for the foundation was brought in from inland somewhere. The oxalic didn't do much at all and I forgot my F-18. Just ordered some more and will go back to test that on it. Did pick up five hours of work cleaning the garage floor, two decks and all the walkways as well as the paved drive.

  3. Stephen,

Thanks to you and Flood I received my semi-gloss sample today. I too am in South Carolina and as you know the sun down here can trash a vinyl shutter in just a few years. Very impressive packaging. While I have vinyl shutters on my house they are not really that faded yet but my neighbor across the street has some of the most faded green ones ever. I am hoping he will let me test it out on them. I did use the cleaner on my shutters and after rinsing they look really good. I will do mine anyway as customers will see I have nice glossy shutters and realize that I practice what I preach if I add this to my list of services.

As for contractors using this product for shutters what are you charging per shutter? Just want to see a ballpark of what I should be quoting if I decide to add this to my arsenal of services.

  4. Thanks for the responses. My mixture normally consists of 1 gal. of SH w/ 1 gal. of E-plus and 3 gallons of water to wash houses.

That is a pretty dilute solution and if you are downstreaming with a 20% DS injector you are looking at only %0.625 SH to the wal and if using a standard injector you could half that amount. I would have a hard time killing the mildew and mold I run across down here with that.

Considering this, and the fact that you don't report a allergy to household bleach perhaps it is something in the Emulsifier Plus that is causing the allergic reaction? I know lots of people with allergies to detergents and when I was a kid my dad had restaurants and there was one type of dishwasher soap that would cause me all sorts of discomfort. Haven't run across it again but now and then I will sniff some detergents and get a bit of a sneezing fit.

Hope you figure out what is causing it.

  5. If you want Espec products I suggest getting them from Paul Kassander. He sells their full product line, has a website with a shopping cart and provides excellent customer service.

In my opinion Envirospec is a strange company. Running a business of their size using PDFs and a bizarre website that has no shopping cart just seems odd to me. Go with Paul, he will answer questions and ships promptly.

  6. Not to be nit-picky but Bob's site recommends 2 8oz scoops per 5gal for downstreaming. Didn't want to confuse anybody. Do use 1 scoop or was it a typo?

I mixed my first batch of Simple Cherry too strong. For using an X-jet, I mixed 2.5gal water - 2.5gal 12.5% - 10oz (by weight) SC. It left a noticeable film on all of the windows. I had to re-rinse all of them. I was supposed to mix 10oz by volume, not weight.

    Live & learn...

Sorry about the typo. You are correct. This is pasted direct from his site....

Downstreaming: 3.5 gallons of 12.5% chlorine, 1.5 gallons water & (2) 8oz scoops of Simple Cherry.

    X-Jet or M-Jet: 2 Gallons 12.5% chlorine, 3 gallons water & 10oz of Simple Cherry.

  7. If I read the math correctly you are getting a 20% draw rate which equals most hi draw downstream injectors without having tons of hose. If you are happy with the amount of chem you are putting to the wall I would save yourself the bucket carrying and just put an Adams injector on your rig and downstream. Unless of course I missed something. Need more coffee.

  8. do you add shc to your e-plus? i understand they work great together.

    rando

Yes, here in the South we need SH to kill the crap that grows wild on houses. I am still trying to find the best combo of Eplus and SH but right now I am using it 50/50. Equal parts Eplus and SH downstreamed at around 17 %. I run 200 feet of hose and imagine I am not getting the full 20% that the injectors I use are rated for so I downgrade it a bit.

  9. Is E- Plus Better Than Power House From Sunbrite That Is What I Use 5 Gals Make 55 Gals For 50.00

I can't comment on Power House but so far the Emulsifier Plus is working for me better than the Sunbrite Citrus house wash which I was using. Not dissing the Citrus, which I thought was good, but the EP just seems to have more punch. Shipped I was paying close to $160 for the Citrus and the EPlus shipped is about half of that. I would consider EPlus to be equal to Simple Cherry and the only reason I went with the Eplus is price.
