  1. Black streaks?

I get black streaks on the surface of my fiberglass boat interior that look the same as the zebra lines on gutters. I think it is the result of acid rain from our Canadian brothers coal fired energy plants coming down wiht the weather fronts. The rain water runs down the vinyl coated coaming boards and drops onto the bulkheads where it eventually dries leaving streaks. I usually get them off with Softscrub and a soft brush.
  2. Stained Fiberglass pool edging

Go to a boating store and get some FSR to remove stains on fiberglass. I use it on boat hulls that have scum lines. Try a small area to see how it reacts with your "glas"
  3. Boat bottoms?

Are the boats being kept in salt or fresh water? I charge about $8to $10/ft, but have to remove barnacles, terreta worms, scum lines, and built up grass. They all have bottom paint either hard or soft. Most come out in Oct/Nov and it usually at their home yard either on trailer or blocked.
  4. Black marks

Having trouble removing the black stains around vents at top of siding on vinyl homes. Have tried house wash, citric cleaner but it does not want to come off. Open to any ideas on how to remove it.
  5. It is not just in your area I have a mah deck I am bidding on now that has the same problem. He wants the same color comsistency as when he purchsed it. Right it might happen. Deck builder relly screwed the guy, he place some boards too close togther and others have a 1" to 1.5" gap. He wants that fixed too. And as usual the builder does not return phone calls.
  6. extension ladder

All I use are aluminum, but then I do not use any over 16'. I am too old to be climbing up that far. I sold all my 32' fiberglas ladders and am down to just 1
  7. I have been using the same downstream injector for 3 years. I would open the valve 2 turns and it would disburse a mixture of 16 oz for 3 gallons of water. It now seems that 2 turns produces more than 16 oz.in the range of 24 oz. Do the injectors wear out? Is there a metering valve in them that valve that wears down over time. Should I buy a new one and recalibrate it?
  8. Need Some Help?

1000 gallons is over 8000lbs to be towed. Seems lilke way too much. As for temperature remember if you spary water and it freezes overnight and causes someone to slip and fall it is on you.

  12. Marine vs Regular battery for ShurFlo

Chris, I am sure you have either a West Marine or Boaters World near you. They carry marine deep cycle batteries for about $60. I have two on my boat and run pumps, radar, GPS, lights, radios al night long on one battery. I do replace them every 2 years if they need it or not. &5+ miles offshore is not a place to be without a battery. They are made to be discharged and then recharged after you run them down. They do have a limited number of recycles, so you do not want to recharge just because you ran the pump. My pump is a 3.5 gpm 45 psi and draws between 5 and 9 amps. So at that rate you could run the pump continuously for about 10 hrs and only draw a max of 90 amps.
  13. Customer had deck raining and spindles painted with acryllic paint which failed. Now she wants it removed. Tried HD 80 , did not even budge. Any ideas on a remover. I seem to remember that Wolmans had a stripper called A & L a few years back but don't remember much else about it. It was supposed to be able to remove Extreme.
