  1. I get black streaks on the surface of my fiberglass boat interior that look the same as the zebra lines on gutters. I think it is the result of acid rain from our Canadian brothers coal fired energy plants coming down wiht the weather fronts. The rain water runs down the vinyl coated coaming boards and drops onto the bulkheads where it eventually dries leaving streaks. I usually get them off with Softscrub and a soft brush.

  2. Are the boats being kept in salt or fresh water? I charge about $8to $10/ft, but have to remove barnacles, terreta worms, scum lines, and built up grass. They all have bottom paint either hard or soft. Most come out in Oct/Nov and it usually at their home yard either on trailer or blocked.

  3. I have been using the same downstream injector for 3 years. I would open the valve 2 turns and it would disburse a mixture of 16 oz for 3 gallons of water. It now seems that 2 turns produces more than 16 oz.in the range of 24 oz. Do the injectors wear out? Is there a metering valve in them that valve that wears down over time. Should I buy a new one and recalibrate it?

  4. Chris, I am sure you have either a West Marine or Boaters World near you. They carry

marine deep cycle batteries for about $60. I have two on my boat and run pumps, radar, GPS, lights, radios al night long on one battery. I do replace them every 2 years if they need it or not. &5+ miles offshore is not a place to be without a battery. They are made to be discharged and then recharged after you run them down. They do have a limited number of recycles, so you do not want to recharge just because you ran the pump. My pump is a 3.5 gpm 45 psi and draws between 5 and 9 amps. So at that rate you could run the pump continuously for about 10 hrs and only draw a max of 90 amps.
