Ethanol 15 problems for small combustion engines
Chemical Doctor replied to Beth n Rod's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I would replace the fuel lines. The rubber inside breaks down and the collapse resulting in lack of fuel. You can not tell by just looking at the outside. Gas lines should be replaced from time to time. One thing for sure, if the outside of the line is hard go ahead and replace them. The fuel today is wrecking havoc on small engines.- 14 replies

Pressure fluctuations, trigger gun problems and pop goes the relief valve
Chemical Doctor replied to Bennyhonda's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
This is why we always setup our trailer units with the unloader bypassing back to the water tank. This eliminates many problems. It will save you lots of money in the long run. I have always advised people using a portable machine to have a ball valve between their hose and gun to simply detach the gun and open the ball valve if they need to lay the gun down for more that two minutes. This way the water will just run out on the ground and they will not have to worry about the problem. As always, if you are close enough to the machine just turn it of. -
Beth, is the 60 a misprint? You surely do not appear to be 60, 50 maybe. Give me a call sometime. It is always good to hear your voice.

You are applying too much or you are cleaning very large houses.

That is almost as good as the two guys holding the pressure washer above their heads so the guy on the ladder could reach the top of the eve. Short hose, smaller brains. Yes, this is a true story. It took place in Nashville about eight years ago.

Just a thought, make sure you are not moving it too fast. Walk at a steady pace. -
I just wanted to say I enjoyed the article Beth wrote for the latest issue of Cleaner Times Magazine. I liked the part about using the X-Jet on wood. The projects looked great. P.S., My Beth always reads your articles.

The X-Jet debate
Chemical Doctor replied to PressurePros's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
For me the X-Jet was faster and I was able to obtain the correct amount of chemical for the job. It saved me time. I used a 15 gallon drum on a two wheeller with 50' of tubing. I could wash a two story 1800 sq. ft. house including gutters in less than 1.5 hours. -

One other thing to check is the governor spring. Make sure it is connected on both ends. -

I know about the rain. We had tornado warnings here twice this week. Not long ago they struck in Murfreesboro, TN. check out www.wsmv.com and you can find some of the destruction. A young mother and baby died in the tornado then.

It will be back soon. We thought it would have been up by the end of last week but there was a great deal of info to bring back. I will be running it and plan on being more active than the last year it was open. Steve Flynn asked me to be a Spokesman for him of the products I made for RPC, same products just not under the RPC label. They have been there all along but many didn't know how to find them. I will be offering advice like I used to but my time on the phone will be limited unless you are a Verizon customer. I will make a post as soon as it is back up and running. Thanks to all of you that dealt with me over the years. I am eager to be involved in this industry once again. Life works in many mysterious and wonderful ways. With this being Memorial Day I salute my son (MP Army) in Iraq and all of the heros overseas.
