Might be my ticket for orange pealed epoxy on crete as well..hmmm..
  2. I would have but was too scared of falling through..lmaof
  3. When do you run?

Hardly any knots on them good old growth decks...The ring growth density is way tighter and much stronger on old stuff I assume. Wood is just not what it used to be. ...Least that's how some show recently described the situation of the wood available to the building industry. They make wood faster these days and yet we pay more for it in both terms of quality and out of pocket..
  4. Many folk these parts would luv the current look but if it dry it dry...Dang good weathering or evenness of fade Rick. I gots to get me some RS! Wish their site was more up to snuff on color samples and pictures.
  5. When do you run?

Yea, now that color looks real good overall. Luvin the way the redwood takes on a bone look in most areas
  6. That stain shows just the right amountof grain..beautiful!! p.s. but yer not done and gonna cover it more hu?
  7. When do you run?

Rick, Your redwood pic looks a tad orange...that the tannins?..what did ya end up doing since you were already using the redwood formula? Shane, anything is improvement on this fellas deck. Please PM me with any specifics of what ya got. Really appreciate the insight guys..thanx!
  8. When do you run?

  10. I Need Help....

If it has indeed faded then acrylic based stains from a decorative concrete supplier is the way to go... But!.. uv will take gloss away pretty quik on most anything..talk her out of gloss and just penetration type seal it.
  11. Thoughts on Oxalic and Ipe

Was on my old fence board tests...I'll surely be watching this for stain color results and then the down the road results as well..
  12. Shelf Life for 12.5% SH?

oh and when you make a lesser solution in like a spray bottle it looses strength really really quik from what this other guy says.. TSRI - News & Views

Mike, Would be interested in seeing the plumbing myself... You ever put oil based stuff through it? probably be no fun to clean or try and save any. I am more of a make as I go fella cause of the variety of chems I use.
  14. Thoughts on Oxalic and Ipe

Good data..beside personal preference, which result do you think is closer to the very inside of the wood if you were to saw them boards in half?
  15. Price/Sq. Ft.

This is a hecka old thread but I can't let somethings in it go without having say... It is perfectly legal and always has been for a bank to cash a business check for a sole proprietor with 'doing business as' (dba) attached to account. Holds can be placed by a bank based on your standing with them and available funds. Bank tellers also have limits placed on them by the bank or it's computer system (i.e. Merlin) based on their abilities and sometimes the said system is configured more discriminitive at a perticular time. They can automatically deny the cashing ability of the teller and then it is up to the branch manager to like you and/or take a risk with you.. I have had this issue with BOF a few times over the years and every time I get it staightened out by going up the chain of command. The higher ups know full well there is no such fed guideline as mentioned earlier in this thread. It may apply to corporations, etc. but not sole proprietors and that is the key lingo of the matter. As far as reporting goes...that is between you and the irs when you get your 1099's p.s. This is how it is in Cali anyways..

It ends up being to each their own but personally I wouldn't care for all the chemical that such a hose would be holding. It either has to get sprayed, left in hose, or be allowed to go back into bucket via gravity. When my one bucket is empty I go to spiggot (or to bath tub for hot water) on the way to the chemicals in my truck and then back to whatever it is I am spraying. If it is a deck I climb the stairs. Everyones case is different of course but now that I think about it..most of my situations call for having the unit with me. I often spray decks, interior carpet, interior concrete locations where leaving a front door open or bringing in a dolly would be way more intrusive and possably considered professionally hokie looking. Besides that... my 4x8 trailer rig already carries a mobile hot pressure washer, various sized autoscrubbers, and burnishers that take up all my space. All chems, spray equipment, and surface cleaner goes in truck bed. I'm maxed out and not carrying another thing less it is a large chem or supply tank.. p.s. A starting battery's cells get killed usually within a year or less if they are discharged and recharged often. They are meant to stay very close to full charge by way of a charge system. Either hook them up to your washer's charge system immedietly after any small period of use to prevent killing them.. Or buy deep cells...

Just some thoughts...No dolly needed with 110v and you can carry it around in muddy backyards, place on decks, lift to roof if ya like. Cap over pump can be made with the bottom of a fiver to where it looks good and no one knows what trade secrets are beneith... Doubt anyone interested in switching though due to the cord power though..

Sounds like yea maybe the medical field could be plastic.. The carpet steam cleaners have a system but they are metal. Actually the system is geared well for our application as they use the same type pumps. So a carpet cleaner supply house usually will have premade hoses and fittings.
  19. Shelf Life for 12.5% SH?

Think they imply it drops off regardless. I wouldn't know about preventing it as I don't know anything about cyanuric acid.... Folks around here never stop saying things that inspire me onto higher learning. Trouble is I am addicted to tgs now...Daniel just couldn't leave things well enough alone.. haha

So two buckets..one to hold equipment, and one to hold mix. Or in Larry's case one tote thingy and one bucket of mix. Thing about my 110v is that the location has to have outside power or I have my machine running in order to use it's generator power..aint good for most part except for one less heavy thing to carry around...... Battery version surely is the way to go if your willing to deal with it's weight!!

Although I shut off spray with wand like everyone else there really is a need at times to shut off the supply earlier. I'll at times need to prime pump and is convienant to do so from the quik end with a garden hose, etc. Once it is primed a nice flow of acid or whatever can get me before I have time to stick the wand back on..I suppose I really need a check valve on either of the inlet/outlet to keep the prime after initial startup. Here is pic of the simple npt converter from big box store.. (no shutoff) :

Am not understanding here... where is the supply water?
  23. Help with hard to strip deck

Mind you might want to do a test section first but the very best stripper combo I run across was called Aircraft stripper followed by lacquer thinner rinsing. That is some major heat and will eat through and destroy many things such as vct... We use it to get years worth of catalyzed paint off warehouse floors of none other than Sherwin Williams.. :) Try Jasco Epoxy remover first!!

pics anyone of this type battery setup? mine is 110 and mounted to lid rather hokie looking right now..when not in use the cord, hose, and pump dissapear within by flipping lid over. p.s.- yes RS instructions online says their sealer can indeed be put through one of these as well as a pump up..
  25. Shelf Life for 12.5% SH?

My chem supplier tells me it looses about 1% per month and that they manufacture it about a pecentage point higher so that it is correct when it gets to market. Have seen some online info that sites just a tad bit different in the amount of punch it looses..
