Michael is mostly correct. Incorporate Jon Fife Enterprises and then create LLC's (Limited Liability Corporations) for each of the others. This creates an isolation layer that protects you and each of the LLC's and the Corporation. LLC's and Corporations are legally created identities much the same as a person. Each will require its own tax return each year. Sit down with an Accountant AND an Attorney, they will take care of all the nuts and bolts for you.

Oh I didn't say it wouldn't be fun, it just sounds like a game my wife told me about playing at a baby shower.

Welcome to the new association. Hopefully they will utilize the history of other organizations to shorten their learning curve. Does this mean another BBS? Will it have access to all or only club members?

Don Henley (the Eagles) wrote a song a few years back that addresses the media sensationalism... I make my living off the evening news Just give me something, something I can use People love it when you lose They love dirty laundry Well I could have been an actor but I wound up here I just have to look good, I don't have to be clear Come and whisper in my ear Give us dirty laundry Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down (3X) Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em all around We got the bubble-headed bleach blonde comes on at five She can tell you 'bout the plane crash with a gleam in her eye It's int'resting when people die Give us dirty laundry Can we film the operation, is the head dead yet Y'know the boys in the newsroom got a running bet Get the widow on the set We need dirty laundry You don't really need to find out what's going on You don't really want to know just how far it's gone Just leave well enough alone Eat your dirty laundry Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down (3X) Kick 'em where they sit, kick 'em all around Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down (3X) Kick 'em where they sit, kick 'em all around Dirty little secrets, dirty little lies We got our dirty little fingers in everybody's pies We love to cut you down to size We love dirty laundry We can do the innuendo, we can dance and sing When it's said and done we haven't told you a thing We all know that crap is king Give us dirty laundry Kick 'em when they're up, kick 'em when they're down {Repeat to fade}

?'s about the cost of having a bookeeper/accountant
Grant replied to PLD's topic in Business Topics & Tips
"I 1099 my employee" Employee's get W-2's, subcontractors get 1099's. Do not use those terms interchangably or you will need an attorney more than you need an accountant. It sound to me like you need a part time person (ie. student) with a math/accounting background that can just get and keep you organized and then have an accountant review your monthly reports and verify the figures. You should be able to find someone through a local college business department. -
B-52 Coffee Recipe 1/2 ounce Bailey's Irish Cream 1/2 ounce Kahlua 1/2 ounce Grand Marnier 4 ounces hot coffee

Does anyone remember (or still drink) B-52 coffee? B-17?

Its fiberglass and aluminum and they are running neck and neck and wood is nowhere to be seen...
-
Fiberglass is the way to go, minimal flex, does not conduct electricity, easy to stencil your company name on the side and just heavy enough so that the wind wont blow it off the side of the building while you are on the roof!

Is your phone number actually 800-1232-4567? I could only spend a minute looking but the site looks pretty good, I'll poke around as time permits.

Home improvement projects and the Honey - Do list...
Grant replied to Beth n Rod's question in The Club House
We bought a new house and property in September of 2003, remodeling started February 2004 and we moved out in April 2004 so construction could get serious and we should be moving back in by the end of January/begining of February 2005. The remodle included removing the entire second floor and rebuilding it to make a master suite (the whole upstairs!). All plumbing and electrical has been replaced. Almost everything is new including the staircase, except the 3 fireplaces, the original 1947 hardwood floors and a few other touches that would be too difficult to recreate 50+ years later.
