Do you guys use your "gutter cleaner" for aluminum siding or the bleach mix? Sorry I dont have pictures yet, but the siding is white and very dirty.
-
thanks for the tips!

Putting the pw'er up for the winter. I seen those pump saver liquid, I guess you spray into the pump. Is one better than the other? Locally only sears sells them and was wondering if craftsman was just as good as the others?
thanks

It isn't like you have to worry about killing it ;-)I didnt know if the bleach would affect it in any way or not

I did my first pw job last weekend and the h.o. had that fake grass or carpet whatever that covering is on the porch. the soap got into that stuff and I had a helluva time washing it out. Anybody had this happen? What can I do in the future?

Suzuki98,Sry. Guess I had a bad day or something. Wish an O ring woulda fixed mine!
Glad yuo're back operational and fix was quick and easy.
...another good thing abt the BB... reminder to buy O rings.
Seems most the vender supporters have 'em on sale now, too.

wow sounds like your day was worse than mine :)

I have launched my share of tips also, but never my turbo. How far did it go? And did u have to rebuild the turbo? My turbo nozzle launched about 8 ft. I actually was still using it after I lost the o ring (had to rinse the bleach!). Got a little wet but it still worked. I havent tried it after the new o-ring, hopefully nothing in the turbo blew!
-
thx guys that was it. I got the coupler off and the o-ring was missing
-
After I changed nozzle today from x jet to turbo, my q.c. shot the turbo nozzle out and after I put it back on, I got wet. Water was coming out above and below the connection. Should I scrap it and buy another or is there an o-ring in there? I havent had a chance to look at it yet.
Thanks

Wow you guys ready for this! I just started shopping in my area for S.H. and the cheapest is $3.50/gal. I have talked to 3 different places and they all have cases of (4) 1 gallon containers for $14.00.

Here in the northeast, we have many Capes & Colonial style homes. Some have dormers, Sometimes it is easier for me to throw a ladder to hit the area where the side of the dormer meets the roof. If this area is a north exposure and the house has not been washed for some time, it can get real nasty. Most instances dormers can be cleaned from the ground by D.S. or X-Jet.Ron that is exactly where most of the dirt is where you circled the picture. It looks to me that the H.O. tried to reach what he could out the window and couldnt get that corner. I will try the x jet once I do a practice run with it.
-
Tom thanks for the advice I will take that and come up with a price for future jobs :)
-
I have to believe that if you look closer, there is more that needs done. If the dormers are dirty, suggest that you wash the whole house. As you said, you are still learning, so why not learn how to wash a house and get paid. Part of what you'll learn is that people will ask you to piecemeal a job to save money. One important goal should be to learn to upsell, and make each job count for maximum $$$.My minimum is $175.00, but that's for decks/woodwork. Not sure how low I could go for house washing.
there is more work there, the soffit and gutters need a good cleaning but the ho said he didnt need that done. He is an older gentleman and cant climb up to dormers to clean
-
Since you didn't draw in the dirt, I may be off, but it has been a long time since I had to use a ladder to clean dormers. (In fact, I recently did a large house with 3rd floor dormers - fortunately no wind that day.) I downstream 12.5% (fortified with my own special blend of "herbs and spices".) but some will use an X-Jet.LOL...I didnt draw that picture i found it on the internet, I just showed a picture of a dormer incase someone didnt know what it was. I just got my x-jet, I havent used it yet, so I will practice with it before I do the job and leave the ladder at home.
Just tryed my new xjet m5 not impressed..
