Hose Jockey, I'm with ya.... The fire dept is getting in the way! LOL
  2. Rust on Vinyl

I have searched for about 2 hours and can not find a thread for removing rust from vinyl siding..... Any suggestions?????
  3. Rust on Vinyl

I tried Oxalic yesterday..... Maybe I did not mix it strong enough? Thanks for the ideas I will give it a shot.
  4. Fire Hydrant Use

One more thing.... Make sure you use an inline filter. I have flushed hydrants while working my fire dept job and have seen the nasty stuff that comes out. The more g.p.m. you move, the more stuff gets stirred up from the main. Mainly rust. At low volumes such as house use or a "garden" hose it is barely noticeable. Just my .02. :)
  5. You get what you pay for...

Gotta love it! I would definetly try to make contact with the new owner when they move in...... Not on the day they move in but not long after.
  6. Help with Pricing on fountian

Not sure about the pressure part but time and material is always fair to you and the customer. I have do it several times and it has always worked well.

  9. Switching From X-Jet M5 To Downstreaming

Rick I just did the samething. Did my friends house and composite deck for a complete web set-up. No money exchange so no money for the government to waste!
  10. Trex - host for mildew?

    Daniel..... I second that motion!:)
  11. Should pressure washing companies be licensed???

Totally agree! Maybe it would slow down the "Un-professionals".
  12. Anyone using this technology?

Not for me either. I much rather see the property for myself and come up with a plan on how I would do the work. Small details can add hours to a job. Just my .02.
  13. Trex deck cleaning

Steve, give me a call if you want. I can meet you and help you out.
  14. I am interested in this. Call you in the morning.
  15. Vinyl siding problem

I had the same problem a month ago using an x-jet but it was only on one side. It is on the side the sun constantly hits. I rewashed it 2x ditching the x-jet and increasing the pressure and the water temp. alittle. It worked and I also used a wax. It sucked at first but I guess I will start paying more attention when I initially look at jobs.
  16. Power Washing Company For Sale Annapolis, MD

WOW that sounds to good 2 b true. Good luck 2 u in your new adventure. If i lived closer I would consider it.
  17. The cedarshake will not get to the ignition temp. However I can tell you tarps smell really really bad when they start to smolder!!!!!!
  18. I stripped off the old sealer for a customer using HD-80. Neutrilized with citralic. Done it the same way I always have and never had a problem. Sealed the deck with WoodTux "Brown Sugar". It ended up with these "Black/Blue" patches on it. The pictures are of poor quality but I think they are good enough to get the idea. Any suggestions????
  19. Thanks everyone. If the rain would stop so it could dry I can better assess the current strip. I will post the completed findings.
  20. It did not have any mold on it. The deck gets sun 90% of the day. However the ground around it was very wet. I think from the neighbors sump pump or something like it. I waited 4 days before I sealed it and it looked just like any other stripped deck. Since the deck is only 2-3 ft. off the ground maybe that is the problem???? I am going to go look at it tomorrow and see what it looks like. I will post more pics. Thanks for the responses. I will let you know.
  21. The wand marks are from the home owner in the first picture.
  22. What is the most effective way to get jobs?

I agree Beth. Not to mention 2 expensive with gas prices.
  23. I will strip them all day and night but would sub the staining in a heartbeat.
  24. Gutter Cleaning and Leaf Guards

I have installed them for a few customers. I always advise them against putting them in, however it's there money. I charged them for the covers plus time.
