HELP! Advice needed for a job
Tex Star Detail replied to Tex Star Detail's topic in Chemicals & Safety
Here are a few pics of the trucks..... -
Ok, I do not post here much, but I know I can come here for help from the PW Pros! I am a Mobile Detailer, and recently was contacted to wash a few Big Rigs, minus the flatbed trailers. They want the gas tanks and other aluminum cleaned up a bit. Not polishing, just cleaned up. They said the previous guy used an acid? So here are my questions: 1. What can I use for the Tanks and other Aluminum Surfaces? 2. What can I use to wash the truck? Something strong and effective, yet safe for all surfaces on the truck. The previous person taking care of these trucks out of state was getting $50 each. Sound fair? I have never done a Rig before. I am used to cars, boats, and RV's. Any help would be appreciated! -Chris W.

Pressure Washer Question
Tex Star Detail replied to Tex Star Detail's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Thanks for the replies. -
OK, be easy on me! How do I set up my pressure washer to recycle water back to my tank? Not sure if my pressure washer is even capable of doing so. I will take some pics of the pump and post them up in a little while. It is a Karcher pump. (ok, I will wait while you finish laughing):lgsideway I use it for washing cars, so it does fine for that. Any help, pics, links, or advice would be appreciated!

Thanks. I have been looking into adding some pressure washing to my services, since I am mobile. Figured making a little extra here and there wouldn't hurt. BTW....PM sent.....

When I moved to Texas there were tons of panhandlers around. I was not used to it, coming from a small town in Missouri. I gave a few dollars here and there, but learned really quick to stop. One day, a panhandler was in front of a grocery store asking for money. I pulled out a $5 bukk and gave it to him. I entered the store, got what I needed and went to the checkout stand. There he was, in front of me with beer........ Another story, one of my in-laws was building a deck on the back of his house. He needed an extra hand. He thought to get one of the panhandles to help, feed him and pay a decent wage until the work was finished. When he went to a corner where they were at, they asked how much is he willing to pay. He said 8-9 bucks an hour, and they say screw you....."I make more money here on the corner....." :lgsideway
