Stripping Sealer from Pavers
ACleanerImage replied to MeiersEnterprises's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Apply Dads Stripper by spray or roller (be generous). You can let it sit for awhile. I normally spray stripper on first thing and then I get everything ready to do the job. The time it takes for the tank to fill up and you getting the hoses unrolled should be enough. Use surface cleaner with heater then come back and rinse it down with the wand. You will want to let it dry some so you can see if you missed any. Repeat process as needed. Are you resealing this job? -
First thing, tell the customer they will have to have pool clean after you are done. Is the pool patio over an existing pad? If so you may need to let it dry 3 and 4 days. If it is sand set I would advise 2 days just to be safe Maybe even put a fan out there. Do you have a heater? You can use dads stripper, it runs somewhere around 115 for a 5 gallons. You can roll or spray it on let it sit for about 15 minutes or so. I normally roll it on to saturate the area. Then you want to use the surface cleaner and heat. You may need to do the process twice. Once you have made sure all of the sealer is removed, you should do a light acid wash. Then rinse everything down. What type of sealer are you putting back down? If the sealer has xylene in it, you will need to dilute the sealer with some xylene. You may want to use a waterbase sealer back there it just depends on how the customer wants it to look. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck!

How long after installation can you seal?
ACleanerImage posted a question in Residential Pressure Washing
Guys, I was wondering how long you were waiting to seal pavers after they were installed? I have this possible customer that stated her installer said wait 90 days. I have sealed after a week or two before without any problems. What would you guys say to this customer convince them that you don't have to wait that long? What would you say would be the least amt of time to wait? I know it depends if the pavers have been sitting on the yard for a couple of months or if they have to make them. -
I am trying to come up a logo for my business. What do you guys think of what I have so far? I am not sure if it is exactly how i want it. I intend to put this on business cards, shirts, letterhead, webpage, and etc. So I need to have this look nice & clean. I'll appreciate any advice you guys have. Thanks in advance.

I pressure cleaned and did a light acid wash to the make the surface a little rough. This helps the sealer adhere to the concrete. I use a xylene based color sealer. -

ACleanerImage replied to ACleanerImage's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Thanks guys. What you both have mention seem like really good ideas of approaching a potential customer. I appreciate you taking out the time to share it with me. -
What do you guys do when you have a potential customer. How long do you wait to follow-up with them? What do you say to them. How often do you call them? How many times should you leave vmails. How do you guys handle your potential customers w/o bugging them. Any examples of situation would be great. Thanks in advance.

Stripping/Sealing paver Driveway

Cody, You only get that many responses b/c they are use to you posting good jobs. I am a newbie they are trying to make me feel welcomed. They will be ignoring me soon. LOL! Your info did help. It made me feel comfortable with doing it more than anything. Alot of times it is hard to try new things when you are not sure how it will turn out. As a matter of fact this customer already has recommended me to one of his friends. They have about 4000 sq.ft. that needs to be stripped and resealed. After doing this one I am happy to do them. It means more money for me. :lgbounces
