I mean a second time. DWELL, DWELL, DWELL, Add boost........... sometimes once just doesn't cut it for me.Can you get them fully stripped in one day?
-
I have to agree with Doug on that.Rain is great for keeping your chems and everything wet. But I find I need it dry to strip decks. Anyone have any luck stripping the second time when the deck is still wet?

Chemical Injector problem
CALLTODD replied to map_911's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I probably don't run clear water through the injector often enough. I'll work on that. But I really do loose the oring. I'm running almost straight 12.5% and 1 or 2 steppeng trucks. Anyone selling just the oring??? By the way it is a Super Suds Sucker, and when it works, it works. -
Chemical Injector problem
CALLTODD replied to map_911's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
My injector blows the orings so I keep buying rebuild kits for it, but all I really need is the oring. Does anyone know the size or where to buy them. -
need help picking new unit
CALLTODD replied to premiumpowerwash's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I'm of the feeling that more is better. Just like more cold water cleans faster. So more hot water cleans faster too...... I suppose you could have situations when you would like less water for some sort of inside work. But speed is money. I'm running about 7 - 7 1/2 gals a minute/ 3600 psi , wouldn't want to go back to 5.5 except maybe for trucks. They say the 5.5 is the most popular............... Must be a reason.......... But 4gpm sure seems homeowner. -

Been doing remodels and home repair. Always have work, but shaving the bids a little to keep the flow going. The free web site is still a big hit. -

I need help. Cleaning 2 story Vinyl Siding
CALLTODD replied to RGilliam's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Definitely downstream, use a ladder away from the wall so you don't lift the vinyl. One guy should be able to do at least two in a day. I use a orchard ladder for three stories, not hard to move. -
I need help. Cleaning 2 story Vinyl Siding
CALLTODD replied to RGilliam's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Don't need a lift for that. I would probly stand on top of my little giant type of ladder with about ten feet of wand on the gun. Or I have a fourteen foot orchard ladder which would put you right up there...It's nice to hit vinyl straight on or from above so you don't lift anything up. Yep, Downstream some good cleaners and save some time and money on a lift -

Can't tell what she has growing on that there roof. But a nice dose of Zinc Sulfate will probably kill it. -

Trex deck cleaning
CALLTODD replied to squeegeeboy's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Thanks, I Haven't seen any adverse affect with oxalic any where yet. Pics look good. I was trying to talk this customer into trying some Ready Seal on their Trex. They went to the Trex site and it said nothing would adhear. Oh well, gives something more to wash. -
I use 30% acrylic, roll it on as thick as I can with out puddling. If you get bubbles it can be fixed with xylene, if it is xylene based. Water base over xylene is ok, but xylene over water base is a problem.

CALLTODD replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I did a test board this week. It did stay pretty oily. We'll have to put it to the ole' time test. So how did the sealers hold up after the year and maintainence cleaning? -
2009 Sealer Poll
CALLTODD replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
" Todd, I've used Ready Seal on Trex. It applied well, but dried lighter than expected " Well, the stuff I want to stain is already redwood color. So if it keeps the black mold spots down and provides some UV, I think the customer will be happy. Any reports on the durability? THANKS -
All I use is word of mouth and a free website. I list alot of things on the site but mostly get jobs for roof cleaning, which is exactly what I want to do. I say yes to the website.

2009 Sealer Poll
CALLTODD replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Tried alot of Wood-Tux and Ready seal up here two tears ago. Seemed to have better protection from mold and drying out with the Ready Seal. Probably be using the Ready Seal, Sikkins and cwf uv5. Has anybody used Ready Seal on Trex? Got a big deck part cedar and part Trex to bid. Seems like it would be easiest to stain everything with Ready Seal. THANKS -
I was thinking about getting a 8-10 gal pump. I was wondering is there some way to adjust flow if I want to tone it down? Hydo-Tek says they have adjust ability for their two gun unit....
