I've got a customer that needs a bid on cleaning her aluminum siding. She mentioned if I was going to clean it with TSP? Maybe she knows something I don't. The siding is going to be painted. I was just going to clean it with a bleach/dawn solution. Won't this clean it well enough? And, can the customer paint over "oxidized aluminum" ?- I'm assuming it will still be chalky after I clean it.

I have a relief valve that is letting quite a bit of water out. I've attached pics. I did mess around with the Unloader valve last fall and have had this problem ever since. I do know now that it is not advisable to mess with the unloader valve. Anyway, any ideas if this is a faulty unloader valve or if this is a bad relief valve? Pics attached. Thanks, Mike

hi rj, i have gotten quite a few jobs from my website. i used to do web design and web marketing so that has helped me in the marketing of my web site. i made my own site and submitted it to the search engines and am getting some traffic. even if i didn't receive any jobs from the site, it's probably a good idea to have one just to show that you are "up to speed" with things. anyway, people like to go to websites just to get the information that they need and it's nice just to have a website to educate and give a client an idea that you know what you are talking about. hope that helps.

I appreciate all the help on the insurance topic. I ended up going with Joe Walters insurance agency. They were helpful and I am paying half of what I paid last year. I was shocked! This forum has already save me hundreds of dollars. :lgmoneyey Thanks again for the help!

there may be no intelligent life on mars, but when i see all the people rallying behind gore ( a liar on many things ) with this global warming "phenomenom" and just believing it because they hear someone else say it's happening, this makes me think at times that there is no intelligent life here. many scientists have said this is just a bunch of rubbish....many say it isn't. - but when i see the ring leader of this movement is mr. alvin gore, i really wonder how credible it is. i believe the earth goes through warming phases and that we are possibly in one right now. there is evidence of the earth doing this, so why shouldn't we believe we are in another one?

I guess there is going to be alot of pollution coming out of Pennsylvania this coming week.:)

I was looking for insurance and was told by a couple of agents that they would get back to me with a quote....and as usual ( this has happened to me every year ) they don't get back to me. Joe Walters had a quote to me within 2 days and their rates beat any that i did recieve in the last couple years. I don't want to pay for coverage i don't need, and that's what was happening with these other cut-throat insurance agents. They just give you a lump sum pressure washing package, and they don't care to even discuss any of it with you. And another peave i have is why is it that when other insurance agents are asked to give a quote, they don't? do they have too much money that they don't need your business?

i'm sure that if she just took some anger management and parenting classes that would be sufficient punishment. :lgbonk: kidding

i can see it now....there will soon be a 5 day waiting period to purchase a pressure washer gun.:lgbonk:

What i have come to understand is that the earth goes through phases of warming and cooling, so based on what i know i am not too concerned and don't beleive all the hysteria. besides, one of our nations biggest phoneys is the liar pushing this whole thing. oh yeah, we had one of our coldest fall and winters this past season, and record snow falls. i really think global warming is a "snow job".

thanks for the leads guys. i called ron and am going to talk to his referral, and they just opened up an American Family Insurance here in town, but i wasn't aware they handled business insurance. I'm beginning to wonder now if the reason my rates are so high is based on where i live....guess i'll find out. Just tired of handing over that lump sum payment every year.

That's a great idea chaz. I just ditched my ccard processor ( i thought they were a little pricey, but not as bad as some ). I was always wondering in the back of my mind if I could use paypal. Thanks for the idea.

This is the third year i have been in business and each spring, i have to fork over almost 700.00 as a down payment to get my insurance started. Is this the norm. I have not had any claims. On top of that I pay 140.00 per month for 1 million liability ( this doesn't cover any theft to my equipment or insurance on my rig ). Is this normal? Does anyone out there have any referrals for insurance? Thanks, Mike
