  1. We Need Your Prayers

Hugh, I will pray for you and Janet that God may comfort you and give you peace in this difficult time. I will ask our church family to lift you up in prayer tonight when we get together. God Bless. Dave
  2. I have a customer who has some deck refinishing needs at his home in the Asheville area. Contact me at wwpllc@yahoo.com and I can connect you. Nice folks to work for! Dave Tausch
  3. What have you guys done to make your booth stand out at Home and Garden shows? We have a big one coming up in March here on the Emerald Coast of FL (Destin area). Any manufacturers of wood restoration products or paver sealing products like to help with marketing materials, not necessarily free stuff but maybe coop? Thanks in advance. This forum has been invaluable over the last year in getting my biz up and running.:lurker:
  4. Wow, Celeste! Very nice. Think you just raised the bar for my own ambitions for my booth!
  5. Thanks a bunch for those links, Beth. I should've known I could just enter "home shows" in the search bar. There's so much info here and so many topics that have already been thoroughly discussed. Thanks for helping this newbie. After reading those threads I'm really psyched about preparing my booth! I'd love to hear any more creative ideas out there!
  6. aluminum roof cleaning

Hi everyone. I'm about to bid on a friend's commercial business warehouse. What chemical mix can I apply via xjet to bring the shine back to the aluminum roof? It is mostly dust from the traffic on the dirt road leading past the business. THanks to all in advance!
  7. Contract in Word Doc

Ditto that for me too. I am bidding on my first big job and need to be as professional as possible. Could I get a copy of that contract as well? My email is: davetausch12002@yahoo.com. Thanks a million in advance!
  8. surface cleaners / which one?

No kidding?! Thanks for that, Mike. Would that apply to the SC that I end up going with? I've gotta say TGS is just an awesome resource and thanks to you, Mike and all the other pros out there willing to give of their time and know how!
  9. surface cleaners / which one?

Good to hear from you RJ. I'll be eager to hear what you think of your new SC. Is mildew the problem most of your customers have? If not, what. Iron stains from ground water irrigation is another problem we have. I have a chem that will remove those "rust" stains but it will also kill grass/vegetation. The main thing here, though is mildew and if the SC works like I hope it will I could pretty much specialize in doing that alone. I have a "broom" but what I've found with that is with 3 nozzles, the psi coming from each (say 1300 psi) is not enough to clean. That's my concern, isn't that what will happen with an SC? And if so, is the answer getting the right chems for the job? I've been experimenting with with different ratios of sod. hydrox., chlorine and water and it seems like I need a pretty strong mixture to soften the mildew to the point that something less than 4000 psi will get it clean. As you are just starting out, I'd love to hear from some of you veterans on this.
  10. The Latest Hot Movies

Have seen a couple of good movies recently on cable with Jennifer Anniston- "Rumor Has It" and "Derailed". It's been out a while but I liked "Sideways". "Cinderella Man" I liked. "Scent of a Woman" is one of my faves-only movie Al Pacino has won an Oscar for, if you can believe that!
  11. surface cleaners / which one?

Hey RJ, Thanks for that question. I'm new to the biz also and am considering which SC to buy. I also have a 4000 psi/3.6 gpm pw (cold water). We have alot of mildewed/algae covered sidewalks and drives here in the panhandle of FL and big homes with big drives. My question to all here is can I expect good results with say, the whisper wash classic using cold water? I have been doing OK with strictly the wand and a 40 degree tip on the smaller drives where I have the time to go slow enough to eliminate the zebra stripes but there's no way I can handle 300' driveways! Also, what chem combo would be good to use with the SC without killing the grass? Thanks to everyone here for all of the valuable advice. TGS Rocks!
