I assume staing decks and even house washing is out of the question. Beth talked about washing boats that were cacked with ice. Im sure this is few and far between. I look forward to any respones.

Rob there is no way to remove it from a wood floor. Even concrete is tough. Most likely only the floor got saturated. A male dog will lift his leg. The trim if any along the base board. Toss it and start over. The floor if its wood. Shellac the spots. This seals the odor. You can use kilz on a plywood floor. On a nice wood one you understand the shellac answer. Wood is so porus that the urine will permeate the entire depth. You may want to check out the underside also. Charge big bucks. At least 100 bucks an hour plus material. Any other questions let me know.

One tough direct drive is the best way to go. Now having stated that. The configuration is as follows. You mount the engine and blower at exactly the same height. Where the 2 shafts meet. Then you use a coupler. I like the rubber ones. You get full power. Takes up less room. With belts you have to offset the blower. Dont forget a muffler. A blower is very loud without one. Warning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not an expert on this. Just my expierence with different setups.
-
Tim trust me you need a muffler. Measure the blowers lobes. For instance a 4 inch distance will give you at least 400 cfm. Find a welding shop. They could weld you a tank for any where from 200 to 500 for regular steel. A lot more for stainless. Also you will need a relief valve. Keep us updated.
-
Tim you have to understand. That the blower is moving a lot of air. This helps displace the heat. There built to take it. Look at a truck mounted carpet cleaning machine. Evry component is crammed in there tight.

I have limited knowledge on staining decks and fencing. I do have some expierence. My question is what is back brushing? Also I am the one to ask all carpet and furniture cleaning questions. I have been cleaning carpeting for 15 years. I trust we can learn from each other.

Hi Matt, No exhausts for me. Checked into that. You can have it LOL. I would like to help with the deck. For some learning expierence. Talk to you soon. Kyle.

Hey Matt we have to get together. I still want to pressure wash. Just so busy cleaning carpets. Email me with your phone #. Im at zimm36@yahoo.com I have a product that will work. If you can wait. Try a little bit of tide or smthing similar on the spot. Make a wet paste and the give it some dwell time. Then flood it with hot water and extract with a wet vac. Call me any time if you want or leave your #. Mine is 309-737-6179

Thermal transfer is not a problem witha positive diplcement pump. They run at 200 to 300 degrees. There is about a foot between the engine and pump. On a pressure washer you want the belt system over direct drive right?
-
Thankyou for the reply. The answers were what I thought. Just want to make sure. I picked up some brochures from lowes. The brochure paints a pretty easy picture. On staing and sealing a deck.

Look out I am thinking again!

Tim I would buy a coupler and go direct drive. You will not pull 700 cfm. That blower is about a 4 inch I think. More like 400 cfm. Wich is a lot. Dont forget theres also the lift side of the equasition. Aslo with a blower that size. 2 inch hose is what you want to use. Call me at 309-737-6179 anytime to talk more. -

One tough you are right about most evrything lol. However most truck mounted carpet cleaning machines only use 1 to 2 gallons per minute. This is with the trigger keyed the entire minute. The main diffference between carpet cleaning and pressure washing or power washing. With carpet cleaning you have to make a couple of dry passes with the wand. Then theres the lady of the house talking to you half the time lol. When we move furniture we have to stop cleaning. All this gives the heat exchanger time to heat up or recover. Heres an example of my water usage. I can go out and clean all day. My waste tank is still not full. My waste tank is 100 gallons. -
Another tool for overspray removal
kyle replied to Beth n Rod's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
Ron the ingredient that works is the orange oils. You all should buy gumalene or a similar product. Check with any janitorial supply house or carpet cleaning supply house. Jon don is a good one to use.
