The weather is starting to break here. It's still very windy with very strong gusts, but the rain has stopped and the sun is actually peeking through occasionally. The low tonight is predicted to be in the 40's....Almost unheard of in Central Florida in October. Breezy and in the 60's tomorrow.

It's been raining all night here in Orlando and the wind has been getting progressively stronger. The biggest problem right now are the tornadoes popping up everywhere. Just another day in paradise! :lgbugeyes

I've asked this on other boards in the past and was just curious as to whether others enjoyed a good smoke, and if so, what's your favorite? I usually smoke one or two a week and really enjoy a Cohiba or a Macanudo. As with most, I'm banished to the outdoors while doing so. I otherwise don't smoke, just consider a good cigar a fruit of the labor.

There aren't any No-Kill shelters near by? A pet is the equivalent to a child or another family member in some households. -
Thanks for the phone call Jim. Have him give me a call if he wants to come over for the day sometime.

We were called in this morning to exterminate this organic experiment gone wrong. Some of the paint under all the mildew/algae had failed, but it cleaned up very nicely given the many years of neglect that it had endured.

Don Phelps replied to Don Phelps's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Thanks for all the kind words everyone. When I seen how bad it was, I knew this was a great 'Before & After' opportunity. -
LOL! Thanks Scott! Actually there's something very huge in the works and if it all comes together, the pw/roof cleaning community will hear all about it in the not-so-distant future. Stay tuned......

The house that time forgot
Don Phelps replied to Don Phelps's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Yes, they are aluminum. The paint was oxidized and cracked. Citraclean/Chlorine/Water and a splash of Dawn for good measure. No brushing required, just 5-7 minute dwell time and a 1800 psi rinse. -

LOL! It's Will Ferrell from SNL fame. According to Alan (One Tough Pressure) I look more like Tiger Woods. How a white guy from KY can be told he looks like him is beyond me. Must be the FL sun. Thanks for the kind words about the help. I appreciate that and you're welcome....Anytime!

I'm curious as to whether anyone has tried this monster yet. Looks like it could save some serious time on large commercial concrete jobs. http://www.whisperwash.com/Whisper_Wash%AE_Maxima36/16578/Whisper_Wash%AE_Maxima36.htm

Mel's got the big flow....Maybe he'll get one and let us know how she spins. -
We've taken this thread way off topic. If the 'debate' needs to go on, it would be better to start another thread.

The last time I checked my Coress had the twist-locks, but they don't stick like the cheapy noodles do.

I'm no arm chair accountant, but my s-corp does everything that I need it to do.

So.......You can obviously afford to take me, Pete, Wayne, Mel and Mike out for a day of deep sea fishing. What day looks good for you? :lgmoneyey

After having hot water, I don't think I could ever go back to cold very often. I think I probably do more commercial than you do and it's an absolute must for gum.
-
I have a Coress and it has it's place, but no more than it's used, it's still very difficult to justify the expense.

I tried one last year....It worked for a while, but the pump eventually broke on it. I liked it for the safety aspect when filling 13hp machines and having that hot exhaust cover right beside the gas tank.

Steve LaBelle is in Ocala also. His company name is 'Dr. Fixit.' He came down last year to learn how to do roofs and I've traveled to Ocala to help him on some larger jobs also. I haven't spoken with him in about 6 months though, so I'm not sure what's going on with him. Look his number up and give him a call if you want.

No problem, Jim. Just let me know when it's a good time for you to drive down and I'll take care of it. Are you interested in cleaning roofs too, or just pressure cleaning?
