Of those who have big screen t.v.'s, which brand do you prefer and why? Pro's and con's? General comments? We're planning to buy each other one for Christmas and want to make sure we get something nice and dependable.

My wife and I have a challenge to each other to see who will lose the most weight (based on % lost) by April 15, 2007. If she wins, she gets an Alaskan cruise and the matching diamond earrings to match the diamond pendant that she got from me for Christmas. If I win, I get a new Harley. The only other one that I have is to spend much less time on the internet and much more time focusing on meeting some very high company goals for '07. The groundwork has been laid, now it's time to go make it all happen. Time to go eat like a hawg (no pun intended) for the last 11.25 hours of '06. Good luck to all in '07!

Hey Jim, I got your message. We were in the middle of dinner, but I'll try to call you either tonight or in the morning.

Merry Christmas from the other side of the Pond
Don Phelps replied to Roger Oakley's question in The Club House
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Roger! -
We're no longer selling pressure washing equipment, as we've chosen to move in a different direction with some very large things coming in '07 on the commercial roof cleaning front. However, I spoke with Russ last week while referring a customer to him and will continue to refer others to him in the future. His technical knowledge is unmatched on these boards and his prices on equipment are extremely competitive. Thanks again Russ!

I gotta vote for my half brother, Leon Phelps. A real "Ladies Man."

That's great to hear, Jeff! I felt like Ryan and the people at PP went out of their way to help me. It still leaks some, but from what I've been told, it's something they're working on to correct.

Hi Jeff, I recently bought a 115v 8gpm through All Pressure as well and had the same problem. The very first time I used it, it shot diesel all over the place, including down onto and into the generator. What didn't drip there was picked up by the exhaust wind and blown all over my tanks and trailer. After a few trips back to All Pressure it's a somewhat better situation, but there is still some leaking and mess that shouldn't be happening. Call PP and request to speak to Joe Suarez. I believe his title is national sales mgr or something along those lines.

Reality is a nice place to be, isn't it? The interesting part is that I have copies of emails/pm's from a particular individual trying to send alleged business my way, then accusing me of "sweetheart" deals and blah, blah, blah. Go figure.
-
....and I thought it was just all those trips to Orlando for your "sweetheart" deals and the "promise" to work on a larger commercial job! :lgwave:

We've done the same with free food certificates. We'll either use them or pass them along to some of our customers in certain circumstances.

That window thing! :lgwave: I'm all about making new contacts.

I used to do the Yahoo Instant Messenger thing, but it's been a while. Get over the window thing, already! :) Thanks again for coming out and helping for a few hours. I hope you learned a thing or two.

Hi Chris, A corporation will usually provide you with better personal asset protection from litigation. It was good to have you out on the job site last week. :) Good luck! Don

Who makes the most durable enclosed trailer?
Don Phelps replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
Hi Alan, We use a Pace enclosed trailer for the commercial roof cleaning rig and it's been great. That thing goes through some serious abuse with all the weight and chlorine involved, but she just keeps on truckin'. -
Thanks for the very kind words, Scott. Pete and I both enjoyed meeting you and your wonderful wife, Tricia. I wish we could've sat there all afternoon and talked, but life was calling. Don't be a stranger to Orlando. We need to hook up again sometime and maybe we can get a few others onboard too. Thanks again for a great time! Don

Time to give back, folks! :)

Large Hot Washers
Don Phelps replied to One Tough Pressure's topic in Tools, Equipment & Basic Maintenance
I was discussing that with another member (and vendor) of the board the other day. Funny how the rules change when the shoe is on the other foot......:) "I hate lowballers, but I'll never pay more than I have to for equipment!" -
Not necessarily......:lgangel:

Value doesn't equal cheap......It's what a customer gets for their $$$. It reminds me of commercial prospects saying something along those lines. My answer is always the same....."You aren't the cheapest in town either.....I'm assuming it's because you bring a better product or service to the table also?" :) We all have budgets, but there's a place for common sense too. Remind them of that.

Everyone has a system that works for them, and in the end, that's all that matters. I'm not going to be foolish enough to try to force a "my way or no way" opinion on anyone. How others choose to handle themselves doesn't concern me. After seeing how many of these threads get picked up by the search engines, it's in everyone's best interest to think about what their potential customers might be reading. :lgwave:
