I'd go with Cabot ATO. Service every year (or 2, if the owner want to save some).
Ipe, as any other hardwood, needs sealing, otherwise the boards will dry out, bend and crack real soon.

Thank you Lyle, good info.

This guy claims, that they are not using any acids, only green products, and getting great results. I was wandering what do you guys think about it? Is it possible?
Deck Cleaning St Louis Expert Restores Exterior Wood Surface to Better than New

We would offer to sand all horizontal surfaces, then apply nice colored oil stain on horizontals, and refresh verticals with another coat of solid acrylic. It's more expensive, then regular restoration, but we have few HO's pretty happy with such projects.

We use Ready Seal for last 5 years and very happy with this product. But there is one thing we had noticed in last summer, it seems like it's drying slower then before.
This is a deck we complete using RS Dark Red in few hours before we got some light rain over night. Thanks to great RS support we easily fixed this:

Also, we got a few deck where RS was wet on the deck after a week.
Did anyone start having similar problems in last season, or it's just our bad luck?
Thanks,

Jon,
Looks nice! Is it first coating, or you maintain this furniture regularly?
I was wondering how long WTW will last in heavy sun/moisture conditions.
Thanks,

We use tarps only for cleaning/stripping. If it's windy, we additionally attach the tarp to side PVC pipes.
For sealing we use much smaller handheld version with disposable drop cloths.

Thank you guys!
I'll do both. My other client has teak furniture too.
Let see which set will perform better ;)

Hello,
Could you recommend a good stain for teak furniture?
I offered Ready Seal, and left few samples. The HO played with them, and found out that even after a week of drying, it still leave marks on paper towel.
Should I offer WTW?
Did anyone used WTW on teak furniture?
Thanks,

It'd be good to know what other contractors use for exotic hardwood this days.
We use Cabots ATO, but after few changes it's hard to say how this stuff will perform.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
