  1. Customer Service

I have just recently started to order stuff from Beth and Rod. This is after months of picking Beths' brain here and there. She was probally wondering to her self is this guy gonna ever order anything from me or what! From the first day I meet both of them last fall at the roundtable Beth was always willing to give some advice out. Well with the items I have ordered she stayed on top of everything and kept me informed on what was happening. Her turnaround time to me is fast. She would email or make a call to say she shipped it out that day and the next day it was sitting on my doorstep. Beth with your patience with me and all my questions to you, you have shown me what kind of person you are. You have great customer service with knowledge to back it up. Thank you very much for your time and rest assure the time you spent with me was not wasted time on your behalf. You now have a good customer that will be several of your products on a routine basis. Keep up the good work!
  2. Nextel numbers.

For those of you who have the nationwide Nextel. Would you mind sharing your two way number? If so please post it for others to add to there phones. Mine is 168*227754*1
  3. Ready seal has a clear sealer. The cedar color is darker than the light brown. Keep in mind that most clears will gray out in 6 months or so. When I spoke to Tracy and Sunbrite he mentioned the RS clear will only last 3-6 months and does not recommend using it for just the clear look.
  4. larger decks

With some of the sealers that are out there I find its sometimes hard to tell what the wood is untill after the cleaning. That is of course if the customers does not know what it is. They only know if they had the deck installed(if they remember). What do you guys do to try to identify the wood type in this type of situation? sometimes I still have a problem fi the deck is built with a low grade cedar board.
  5. Roof Cleaning

I use a sodium hydroxide product to clean roofs. I too have read that this is bad to use. So is bleach! It will dry out the shingle faster than s.h. it will. I have put a shingle into a bucket with my undiluted solution of s.h. for two weeks. It still looks fine. I am sure if you do repeated cleanings with these two cleaners it will damage the roof. Just walking on the roof will degrade it let alone cleaning it. My opinion is that using a s.h product does a better job that will last longer than using chlorine. Yes using chlorine you are in and out pretty fast and since it does not last as long you get get good repeat business. I do not believe in a run in and out quick job. I think the customer should get a good quality job that will last for the price they pay for. Remember this is just my opinion
  6. olympic stains

    What are the other boards?
  7. What does the tips have to do with his problem? I have allsorts of different sizes to control the pressure coming out of my pump and different degree tip also depending on what I am cleaning. For instance I have 8013 tip for doing decks with. That drops my pressure to about 500 psi with a 80 degree spray pattern when I do the floor of a deck. Brad, It is possible your unloader could be bad but I would make sure its not a water supply problem first. Make sure your intake flow is adequate and nothing is blocking the flow either. If thats all clear try another unloader. Good Luck
  8. water tank ??

Clean Streak, Take a drive to Colonial Chemical in Tabernacle. They are located on Carranza Rd. and they have plenty of 20,30 and 55 gal drums that they will give you. I have allready gotten several from them. Do not go out and pay money for these. Take the 1/2 hr drive and come on out here to get them for free.
  9. Window washing receipe?

I use liquid dawn dish detergent. a couple of squirts into a gallon on warm water. You want just right amount of soap. If you have too much it will be hell to have nice clean windows. How much is enough? When you wet the window and the water starts to dissapate before you squeege it you need more soap. You dont want the water to be sudsing up on the window either if you do you have too much. If I am not making sense to you call me at night anytime between 6pm and 9pm during the week. 609-268-0085
  10. shure -flow setup

Dale, I can't tell what part of the fence you're on. Paul, You have me confused!
  11. shure -flow setup

RickI have to take sides with beyoungster. Beth is now carrying the decker and I feel this is her and Rods board. I know Paul B. is a valuble resource here also. Maybe he did not realize yet that the decker was being carried her at the store.
  12. shure -flow setup

Using the x-jet is alot faster that using a shurflo set-up. That just my opinion though. Yes you can use more chems but if you mix them right you should be fine. Also so what if you use more chems. How much is that really costing you? If its only 10 bucks or so who cares. Your saving more time which will get you to another job faster. Time is money. If you save say 1 hr using the x-jet and waste only 10 dollars of chems well for me I am making about 80 dollars more. My average hourly cost is 90 dollars. Does this make sense to you? Dont get me wrong, the shurflo set-up has its place but for house washing I would not use it. Just my two cents
  13. black streak's on gutter

David, Temps. have a big role on how your product cleans. The warmer it is the better its works. I use Gutter Shock and when it hits anything below 60 or so I have to brush the gutters to get them clean.
  14. Your Favorite House Wash Brew

Jon, Where I live the water is pretty hard. The rinse aid will help suspend the minerals in the water and make it easier to rinse off. At least that is my understanding. It has help to stop the nasty streaks on the windows for me. I am probally going to stop using the rinse aid this year. I am working on setting a water softner in my trailer. James, Would you explain you process in cleaning a house. If I could cut my time down even more that would be awesome. I thought I had a big improvement on my process last year. I do know that besides switching to the x-jet, the soap I started using(citracleen) had a big improvement on my time. This soap just seems to work alot faster than others I have tried. By the way, Thankyou for having a nice debate about use of bleach or chlorine. I really hope people can make there own decisions by what has been said and maybe learn something.
  15. Your Favorite House Wash Brew

I do not use the metering tips. Just using the x-jet gives you a 1.3-1 ratio. I have not used the citracleen for concrete(I am assuming you are talking about driveways). I have used it on vinyl, aluminum, and wood siding,Stucco,Dryvit, brick and stone front homes. I do not see why it would not work for concrete. When I clean concrete I use hot water only except for oily or greasy spots and if it has some mold or other type of fungis I may throw down some bleach (diluted 12% chlorine)

FYI To properly shocka pool you need to raise the chlorine level to at least 10ppm. The 3-4 ppm is what you need to keep the pool properly "balanced. Just wondering. Typically how long does it take for you to wash a 2000 sq ft home with you downstreaming your chems? When I did it this way it took 3-4 hrs. Now using the x-jet and carrying the buckets around it takes 2 hrs. I am saving time thus having more time to have more work scheduled for the day. Maybe I am missing your point and I am confused but hey I can be thick headed too.:D Your link was very informative. If you read into a little deeper the deaths were from chlorine gas or pressurized liquid chlorine wich will give the gas vapors. You typical pool store container is not pressurized.
  17. Interior mobile home washing

Alan that sound really strange to me. I hope you have a waiver signed saying your not responsible for any damages. I also hope you remember your camera. I would love to see the before and afters.
  18. Your Favorite House Wash Brew

All pool chlorine is 12% sodium hypochlorite. You house hold bleach is 3-4% sodium hypochlorite. Your stating is takes 2 gals of bleach to shock a 12,000 gal pool. You are way off on that statement. Using bleach for pool shock is not strong enough to kill the bacteria or other organisms in the water. Most people will use the powdered form of pool shock. That is known as Calcium Hpochlorite. You need one pound per 10,000 gal of water. I am speaking from experience as I have been in the pool industry for 5 years servicing pools and a store manager. The big reason to use "pool chlorine" is cost savings. It costs aprox. $1.00 for a gallon of bleach. Buy a 5 Gal. container of "pool chlorine for $12.00. A 5 gallons of "pool chlorine" is equal to 15-20 gallons of bleach. With liquid chlorine you really do not need a respirator just a face sheild to protect you face ffrom splashes just like you should for bleach. The only time you would have a vapor that can hurt you is if using the powder form of the 3 inch chlorine tabs and tehy get wet from water and are in a closed container. You open uo the container then you would have a vapor that would knock you socks off. You will not get that from liquid chlorine. Also as long as you wet the area down around the house before and after washing you will have no problems with palnts or grass dying. Back to pools the chlorine level is suppose to be at 3-4 ppm to keep the pool clear. I have had to empty pools to clean them or do misc. repairs and the water coming out of the pool has never killed the plants, grass or any other lanscaping that the water had touched. I am sure your method works best for you since you been doing it that way for six years and I hope you do not take offense to this. I am just stating the facts as I see it. You may see another way and Thats fine too. We all have our views on how and what works for us. I prefer to use "poolchlorine" compare to using bleach just for the cost savings. My brew is using 1/2Gal citracleen,1gal 12% pool chlorine, 2oz wet wax. 4oz of rinse aid and 4 oz of a foamer and the rest with water in a 5 gal bucket. I use 2-3 buckets for a house wash and use a x-jet to throw the chems on the house. BY the time my brew hits the house the 12% chlorine is so diluted it will not harm the landscape. I really like this mix and works for me.;)
  19. Does anyone offer a warranty on your deck work. If so, how long is the warranty, what does it cover and what are yor exclusions? I was thinking of doing something like this to help land some jobs.
  20. Who's got one of these?

    Unfortunatly he may like it:confused:
  21. Who's got one of these?

Jon, The is only one problem with putting him general population, who would want to touch that freak? Yes he is popular and has lots of money. How ever the freak has really messed up his looks with his bleaching of skin and plastic surgery. He is just NASTY.
  22. Who's got one of these?

    Isnt neverland in California?
  23. what should i do?

Stoppie, I prefer the x-jet and if I need a longer throw I have a 6 ft wand to place the x-jet on. A extension wand has its uses but it get you tired pretty quick and one sore back. Everyone has there way of doing things. Some Love the x-jet and some hate it. You did come to the right place to get information. Everyone here will give there opinions to you when asked and then you can make you own after thinking them out or trying out the methods we all use. Good Luck
