Any Experience with Bond's "One TIME" (100% solids & 7 yr. warranty) ???
tattwd replied to celtwheel's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I have used this on 3 homes over 6 years ago, homes are still original color and no growth at all, however I burnt up 3 gracos and one spraytech using it. This year I burnt up another graco using it on very large project. Best stuff I have ever seen but probably wont use it again because its way to hard on equiptment. Owner says sprayers are not what they used to be, unfortunately, I disagree and wont use it again. -

Soda blasting in SC
tattwd replied to dennis mcguinn's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
Dennis, 1. Soda will not touch rust 2. Soda is great for boat hulls and theres money in it, as long as you purcased a good soda pot so your media is used efficiently. 3. depending on the appraissed value of the home it could require a mortgage. Soda pots are very specific in design and with a purpose for it. Dont think you can get a cheap pot and make money soda blasting. 4. you need a 185 compressor minimum. 5. expect to invest 20k to get mobile and remember your blowing out $30-$40 bags of soda compared to $5 bags of black beauty some of your competition will be using (for the rust spots). 6. Works good on wood, practice to get the lowest pressure possible. 7. Im getting *****ed at being on the computer, so gotta go, but there are many more items to discuss feel free to pm me. -
could've been nice
tattwd replied to CLASSICPW's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
I have cleaned up 2 tons of media with a shovel and garbage bags in about 3 hours, thats nothing. Sounds like a great gig, I'll have to look into that stuff. -
New To soda blasting
tattwd replied to EFS Green Bay's question in Having A "Blast" (sand, soda, dry ice, etc.)
Are your intentions to use soda blasting for cleaning tile and grout? This is an extremely dusty process. you can lower the dust with water injection nozzles, but I would hardly think that process would be desired in home either. My choice for that application would be steam, or dry ice. I personally know 3 soda blasters in the Green Bay area, you might check with them to see if they are using that process for that application. -

Then a neighbor asked if we could hit this before we left the area. Turned out to be a nice addition. -

Here is a cob blast we did this year with interesting effects. This preservative soaked into the wood so far that 20/40 cob wouldn't pull it off the grain. We then prepared for actually blasting again with a 4070 grit glass and started a corner with fantastic results when the homeowner stopped us and asked us to put a sample of the finish on. Once we did that he fell in love and had us continue the staining. Said it looked "burnt" and he couldn't pay someone to do that. We finished up the job and he gave a 2.5k tip. Lol, just when you think your doing it wrong, a nice payday it turns out to be! I split the tip with my crew, needless to say it made them more than happy. I will post the finished pics in a couple days. Happy Labor Day Weekend! -
Ha Ha seriously that was a childish reply, I guess I should say no shes not you are. lol She ran Alaska man. She probably ran against a polar bear and a seal. Obviously the bear ate the seal and she supports the anwr drilling so the bear said f*#k it Im outta here. lol.

I think shes a perfect choice for him to show everybody that he is truly a politician at heart. He will do whatever it takes to get elected, then it don't matter anymore. I wonder if anyone will ask her, What qualifies you to be the VP?
