Estimates - how do you handle them?
Bob Gates replied to Beth n Rod's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I agree with A-Plus (post #12)... Always will be free.... I make it convenient for the customer... I almost will not go if "customer" is not going to be there.... No prices/estimates over the phone period!! Period!! I guess it is a reflection of me...I do business with "people" not a voice on the end of a phone...nor a peice of mail...nor a note left in the door. So I either correctly/incorrectly assume other folks feel the same.... ......And for those(homeowners) who insist on a "ballpark"...My answer is "somewhere over $100.00 and probably less than $1000.00" -
I agree with the price fo gasoline being what it is...riding around "passing" out flyers is way to expensive when you consider the return on investment...a few flyers/cards next door to a job site is one thing...Good luck in court..probably want amount to much....mostly just the hassle.

Why I'm called a malcontent......
Bob Gates replied to Pams Pressure & Clean's question in The Club House
The Mosaic Law as it applies to the New Testament Christian is complex and can be confusing without alot of reflection...That being said...God instituted marriage with the first man and woman, Adam and Eve (Gen 2:20-24) Thus the Biblical formula for marriage is "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be one flesh". (v.24) This obviously is from the Old Testament but is in no way an "antiquated version" In the New Testament Christ reaffirms this marriage formula in Matthew (19:4-6) "For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife and the two shall become one flesh" (v. 5) So today when one says "marriage is between a man and a woman" it is most assuredly "current teachings" -
Four (4) times this year I have been called to clean a "clean" house. Four (4) times this year I have NOT cleaned them..(I like to sleep at night) 2 were women.. very old...widows...(I swept down a few spider webs..free) 1 was a young woman (again a few spider webs and free) 1 retired couple who thought they had mold/mildew....they had none!! They all got business cards and was told.. "call me next spring/summer and we will look at it again" It goes to honesty and integrity. Period!

Bob Gates replied to One Tough Pressure's question in Residential Pressure Washing
Maybe I missed something..(I usually do)...But I Always park in the drive..concrete or whatever....I have never left any tire marks..how does one do that..???? I only park in the street at last resort..and then I use traffic cones/ flashing lights etc....But to answer the question at hand...of course I would correct any problem that I caused at no cost... -
