Connor you will find some great info here and everyone will tell you how they do it, but in the end always go with what will work best for you. This months issue of the new eClean Magazine is all about roof cleaning and will show you a few different methods all in one place. eClean Magazine | The professional contract cleaner online resource it is free to subscribe. 3. Earlier this month we introduced a new product, Dyn-O-Coil, to a select group of customers and National Cleaning Expo attendees. We are now making this product known to all. Dyn-O-Coil is a dynamic mineral scale preventer and remover that when added to water or the make up of a pressure washing mix, modifies the normal crystal structure of mineral hardness so that scale deposits never form or build up. Dyn-O-Coil prevents mineral problems first and fixes any scale problems that already exist second. If mineral scale has already built up in a machines pump or coils, Dyn-O-Coil will work to breakdown the scale and allow it to be flushed out of the system. Simply inject Dyn-O-Coil into your equipment either mixed in just water or in a soap chemical mix and Dyn-O-Coil will descale the machines internal parts over the course of use. Dyn-O-Coil will not harm any machine parts including; bearings, seals, hoses, wands, nozzles, tips or packing. Dyn-O-Coil is Concentrated Biodegradable Safe on Equipment Protects and Cleans While you Work Prevents and Eliminates Scale Deposits Easily Mixed into Water and Soap Mix For Usage Only Costs Pennies per Day For pricing and to order call 1-800-762-7911. The first 50 customers will receive special pricing and UPS Ground flat rate shipping on their order of Dyn-O-Coil. Call today.

Mike like I said to you on facebook. When this guy kills her property she will be calling you. And if it was me I might even charge a little more for the extra work to fix what damage he will probably do. Do not keep worrying about this one.

  8. Rust colored staining from Sprinkler system

Tom, If you ever do any wood deck work you will find that most wood brighteners or neutralizers that you use after striping is most of the time just an oxalyic acid mix so you can use some of that as well.
  9. LiveActor for Website.

Scott, They are nice but the one on your service site froze up quite a lot and the sound started and stopped as well. The one on the sales site did much better. The video did freeze occasionally but the audio continued and the video would catch up. Hope it keeps folks on your site. Let everyone know how your numbers improve (hits, time on page etc.) with her on them.
  10. back on track!

Jeff, I know what you mean. It has been a really slow start to this year. With the early winter that stayed so long in the Northeast and the rain in the Midstates we have seen it. Many of our customers also had product held over form last year because of the weather. And of course prices are effecting sales. We have been luckly though, last month we had an 8% increase in orders yet just held even in sales numbers from last year, because even though there are a lot of new little guys getting into the business the old timers are buying later and less this year due to cash flow. I have been spending most of my days either quoting prices, and almost all of them have gone up, or talking to these new fellows that want to get set up pressure washing that think it is some get rich quick or an easy job to do to tide me over thing. I try to explain to these guys that pressure washing is not what they think and is a lot of hard work that they need instruction to do it well. One guy even acussed me of not wanting to sell him product because he could not seem to understand what I was trying to tell him. I just do not want someone to get hurt or damage the rep of the professionals out there. I can not blame anyone for price shopping right now, everyone that runs a business has to watch the bottom line. But I agree with you that you have to charge what you need to make a even a modest living and that is why we can not discount ourselves into obilivion. I had an old customer call Monday to check prices, he did not order that day, but he called back 24 hours later. He had called all over and found out I was not the only one with higher pricing this year and that I was still the best value for him. I hope everyone holds on to their values like you are doing and survies this economy this year. We have already lost too many good guys in the business this past year.
  11. What is this new site everyone is talking about?

Guys it looks great. All that hard work is paying off. I wish you all the best with this e-zine/blog and I will look forward to all the future instalations.
  12. Gutter gloves

Florin, Here is a link to a great glove. Atlas 372 Assembly Grip Gloves - Palmflex-1-800-856-4817 These will keep your hand warmer than just pvc or rubber with the lining yet give you great dexterity. They are very resonable as well. Buy a case and try to keep up with them, everyone that trys one will walk off with them. I have always had good luck with all Atlas gloves of any kind. My Mother swears by her mud gloves and other gardening gloves that they make. Hope you like them.
  13. Deck wash vs. strip

Thanks Beth, that sure saves a lot of typing. Can I use that as a link from my site? It is such a good general reference.
  14. sonic resturants

FYI, you know restaurants have to post there health inspection ratings, but have you noticed with ones like Sonic thier boards are inside where you can never see them! They are never on the outside glass facing out to the customers. Makes you wonder doesn't it?
  15. Bryan, I have an idea for you for the rags. My Dad always had an old coffee can he had drilled large air holes around the middle that he had put s hooks on the top edge. He would hang it on the ladder he was using or what ever else near him as he worked and would toss the rags in there. Kept them close but off and out of his clothes. He did a lot of mechanical and wood working so he alway had rags soaked with somekind of flamable liquid or compound on it.
  16. Deck wash vs. strip

There is a difference. A deck wash is just to remove the surface dirt that may or not be effecting the deck color. You can use a mild soap or even a percarbonate to just lift up the surface dirt, do not use high pressure to damage the wood to bring the natural wood color out. But if what they realy want is to take the fadded color back to original to then seal or stain it you need more than a wash especially if there is left over old stain and sealer on the wood. Then you need a stripper and a neutrailzer to get the wood ready to be sealed or stained again. Again you let the chemicals do the work not pressure that will cause wood damage and a raised grain.
  17. Inhaled Sodium Hydroxide fumes?

RJ, I hope you have the MSDS for the F18 with you to take to the doctor. Yes these symptoms can be due to the inhalation of Sodium Hydroxide. The irritation to your sinus passages, throat and lung tissues can be causing the low grade fever as your body tries to combat the irritation damage. Please consult a doctor as soon as you can before you get any kind of infection in these tissues. We handle the raw material and mixed formulation all the time and we never play with even a possible exposure. We send our employees to the doc. It would be much better for him to tell you that it is just a cold. I don't want to alarm but just want you to be safe and healthy.
  18. Cleaning Composite Deck

I would try a green bio-degreaser like Simple Green, our Mighty Green or similar product you can find just about anywhere. I would start with a spot test of straight cleaner on a really bad area to make sure it does the job you want and then you can run some through your pressure washer for general cleaning on the rest of the deck. These products work great on these new deck surfaces.
  19. No Bleach cleaner

Florin, For Green wood restoration where cleaning only is need, no removal of old paint or stain a peroxydicarbonate like our SoSafe is the best. It lifts up dirt without harming the finish on the wood and once the carbonate has all been released it is just like water. Think of Alka-Seltzer once the fiz is gone.
