  1. I need to vent little. I got call from 55 and above mobile home park today wanting to get there house wash. Home owner asked how much for house wash I ask how big is the mobile 25feet by 56feet so do the math little over 1200sqr not including the car port. So gave the guy quote for the wash said about 85 dallors this guys sales that is alot money. I told him if he can get 3 more homes I will drop my price to 70 dallors. So what do you guys think he said he got his home washed for last.

  2. I woulkd give them one more try do right then you should contact lawer. I also want to know How does any cop this guy ticket for careless driving on I4 hit and run. how bad is the bumper to you truck looks like cliped the right side only and there is some frame and body work that has to be done.

  3. You had a contract didn't you? You should have only refunded the amount for the staining labor and left the stain on his front porch. Threats of calling the BBB can be serious but once they got your side they would have sided with you. At least anyone with common sense would have. Your prices are your prices and your reputation WILL proceed you. Be careful in the future.

What can the BBB do to you I have never used bbb and can not aford to be member of them.

  4. In my opinion if you are ever going to hauling 500 gallons ( I do!) you will need the tandem 5000 lb axles. Think about it. 500 gal = 4000 lbs my skid weighs a 1000 lbs and my chem tank could carry 1000 lbs plus equipment and a barrel plus the weight of the trailer. Mine is an 18' and I have an very long wheel base truck (8ft bed and ex cab) yes it canget tight in cul de sacs but I am happy with the 18 ft trlr.

Pat you make great point about wieght and equipment alot people get thinking about the weight water but for get about the tank and the equipment.

  5. Too many contractors complain and bemoan the fact of "low-ball, hack", beer guzzling, non-professionals in this business. In wood care, we get them too. Their shoddy work can be a source of new business.

We get a fair amount of "do over" business. This is the worst I have seen in a while, reference the attached picture.

Four month old, 420 sq. ft. ipe' deck. Prepped and stained by some "wanna be" contractor three weeks ago. Stain is Messmer's, but the prep and application is the problem.

Poor customer. Not only did he pay this joker, now he will be paying us guessing 3 times that amount to fix it and do the job right.

"Hacks" can be good for business.

Nice hack job what did he do drink on the job looks like he missed alot spots.
