Taking Private Land for Private Businesses
Rodney replied to MeiersEnterprises's question in The Club House
Taken of land has recently happen here in NC also. Cary is a town of yuppies and 99% are not from NC. The town recently laid claim to land in a near by community that only has a post office and fire dept for a waste water plant. The land that was taken was done quick witout given the home owner a chance to fight back. The community is a small farm town and most of the land has belong to the families for generations. The kick in the pants is that the community will not have usage of the waste water plant. -

I do not use proportioners either. I tried using a 15gal container on a dolly but I didnt like it. If the yard was hilly or had objects in the way of the dolly it was a pain. I carry a 5 gallon container with 20ft of chemical hose. On a house say 2000sqft I only use one 5 gallon container. Sometimes I may have to fill a second container to finish but not all the time. I have a 5 gpm machine. I use to use 2-3 5 gallon containers when I started. Practice makes perfect. If you use the right house wash it does not take alot to get the house clean.

We have been getting a rapid growth of people from other states to the triangle area due to the job market at research triangle park. Our neighborhood has over 300 houses and my wife and I are the only ones from around here. That means major growth, new construction more job oportunities.Weather is mild compared to up north. Probably sucks compared to California. People are laid back. Even the people that move here from larger cities are laid back after living here. Southern hospitality grows on ya.

I ran a search but did not find what I was looking for. I am trying to clean a brick wall where a sign was. I need to match the brick covered by the sign as close as possible to that not covered by the sign because there will be a new sign going up but different size. The brick is grey and dingy. Hot water and pressure did not work.

Huge Deck/Dock Job : Need Help
Rodney replied to CCPC's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
I am sure others are more knowledgeable on this subject, but I believe that you will not be able to use any stripper or brightner since it is over water , legally that is. Most everyone I hear of use just water and pressure. But I could be wrong. -
Gutters before and after pictures.
Rodney replied to John T's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I was at a retail chain store today picking up a connector and to my supprise I saw GZ on the self along with another chemical that I want mention by name that the same supplier offers. This supplier also makes xjets and it is also at the retail store. I am not sure how I feel about commercial suppliers letting a retail store sale their product. I guess its all about money. That would be like getting ecf-38 or wood tux at walmart. Just doesn't sound right. -
Gutters before and after pictures.
Rodney replied to John T's question in Residential Pressure Washing
I am using GZ because it is locally distributed. I use it straight. I put just enough in a 5 gallon bucket to cover the bottom. Most of the time i only have to run the brush over the gutter with little force. Two stories I may have to apply twice. If you keep the brush wet the easier it is. I have only had one house where the finish came off the gutter and that was because the gutters where filthy and I was scrubbing to hard. As long as the bush is not dripping alot I have not experience any plants being harmed or the finish on houses. I also use it for hard to clean areas on the house. Storm doors, garage molding, facial boards ect. The key is to rinse quickly after appling do not let it dry or dwell. -
CCHSNC, What ratio do you use for housewashing with F-13? If xjetting, I was told 8oz per 5 gallon container along with bleach

Rodney replied to CannonW's question in Wood Cleaning & Restoration - Decks, Fences, etc.
oven cleaner will get stain off siding if it dries. Mineral spirts and a rag is my best friend. -
Should I mix bleach in my house wash?
Rodney replied to CannonW's question in Residential Pressure Washing
The number is closer than you think right R.Williams . I have used 6136 before thanks to Rob(cchsnc). Works very well. 8OZ to 5gallons of house wash( 1 gallon 12.5 bleach and rest h20. I dont use it all the time. If the facia are really bad or the house is dirtier than average it helps. It saves me from having to double up on the bleach. I know there are a lot of additives out there on the internet. Some drive chevys other drives ford. some even drive dodge. Its what suits ya. -
I have a million dollar liability and $10,000 on equipment . My deductable is either $250 or $500. My trailer is not covered but the equipment is. It was something about covering a commercial trailer on residental tags.If I got commercial tags then they said my boat would not be covered when I towed it. 6x12 tandem was $1500 boat was more so I chose not to cover trailer.I go through a small independent rep in my hometown . The policy goes to virgina mutal. Its a little over $400 a year.I've told 3 other pressure washing companies of this policy and they have all switch. One man was a insurance saleman and could not find a better policy. My local rep is Rogers Insurance 919-362-8310.
