could you use a paint roller with a soft roller to help smooth out any heavy spots of sealer? -
Closing Customers Quickly
stoppie101 replied to ProjectEarth's question in Residential Pressure Washing
i always have a low pressure attitude. 1st impressions are everything. you can make or break the sale in the 1st 5 minutes. customers know you are going to try to hook them, even if your not. your main objective when getting there is to bring down that barrior. be friendly, ask questions about them, not just the job your bidding on. use their name as much as possible. take control, but make it seem as if it's no big deal: what ever you want to do, it's no big deal etc... when your talking, nod your head yes. guess what, so will they. and most importantly: SMILE! if your not smiling, neither will they. good luck! -
hey all, new to this whole washing game. i'm getting everything ready to go for when the weather breaks. just need a little guidence. i have a honda 13hp, cat pump, 3600psi, 4gpm, 275 tote and plenty hoses. i'm researching getting a hot box, surface cleanner and a few other items. i'm planning on doing residental houses, drives, walkways. also looking into doing drive thrus, gas stations and new home clean up. any advice would rule. for doing 2+ story residental house washing, what is the most effective and efficent way to go. an extension pole or an adapter like an x-jet or comparable item? i'm sure every case is different, but if it is one or the other, which would you prefer???????

hey all. just getting up and going. i've learned alot from this site and everyones posts. i have a few questions though. i'm courious as to how everyone prices house washing. do you just eyeball the size of the house or do you actually measure for sqft????? are you pricing different for bricks vs. vinyl?

thanks for the tips. do you also do the gutters at those prices or do you add that on? how about windows? i was also thinking about up-selling the drive for another $50(depending on size).

what do you think about vans?? i'm just getting started and not ready for a big truck yet. though i will be by next winter for plowing. f250 super duty, crew cab, desiel is the only way to go. but back to this van thing. i'm thinking a full size chevy work van. chevy b/c of the low deck heigth. i currently only have a washer and a 275 gallon tote. i'm in the market for a surface cleaner and a heater. so with that said. 9/10 times, i wont need the water tote, if so, i have a trailor. the rest of the time, i can easily put the washer, surface cleaner, heater, hose and accessories in the van. and lets not forget that the side of the van is a perfect rolling billboard. any thoughts??
